profileMadara Namike

Local aspiring fashion designer and retail worker, Madara Namike joined the College to pursue a career within the industry. After working in the retail sector for numerous years, she embarked on to a fashion programme to help her secure a graduate job within the creative industries.

Madara says, “I’ve always worked in retail but wanted to pursue a career within fashion for quite some time. I didn’t really believe returning to education was an option for me but after joining a short course at the College, my tutors encouraged me to apply for a place on the Higher Education programme. Since joining the College I’ve realised that it’s never too late to learn and would encourage others to do the same. I believe a Higher Education qualification will provide me with enhanced career prospects.”
