FROM OUR PASTOR: FATHER MARK KELLEHER

308-Holy Family Page 2

Stations of the Cross

No doubt you have noticed the “new” (new to us)

Stations of the Cross hanging in the church. They

came from a church in the south side of Chicago

and date back to the early 1920’s. You may notice

some paint chipped off here and there on some of

the stations, but when something is close to 100

years old that’s to be expected. For their age, they

are in excellent condition and I think we were lucky

to get them. I hope to touch them up and really

clean them properly in the near future.

I am offering the opportunity to

memorialize the stations. You can sponsor a station in memory of a lost loved

one (or loved ones), or to memorialize a special

occasion or event in your life, for $1,000. If you are

not able to afford the $1,000 in one lump sum, you

can make a pledge on a station and pay $50 or $100

per month (or whatever you feel you can afford)

until your pledge is completed, or you can pay with

a credit card (you could earn points!).

A plaque with the memorialized names or reasons

for each station will be hung in the Gathering Space.

It will be similar to the plaque for the Resurrection

statue hanging there now.

You may choose whatever station (or stations) you

like, however, Stations 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12 and 13 have

already been reserved.

If you are interested in sponsoring a station, please

contact the parish office in person or my phone at

302-368-4665.
