Introduction

Hey everyone!!

Wow!, it has been just 2 month and the mag has grow in so

many ways!

In this issue i was just having in mind brake our last record

which was 300 views, but thanks to God and all you guys, the

mag has just received her first 1,000 VIEWS!!!!!

I always check out the amount of views mag receive and today i

saw 1142 views, that’s something huge!, i mean, i got several

issue with internet this month and i lost alot of time and never

though i would even get to 600, but it happen, amazingness!!

So, for that, new stuff are coming on their way, new mag layout

articles design, as you can see, we just have a logo, which you

can see at our cover, thanks alot to Josh Pritchett for the logo

and for the cool layout page he did for our Angels & Demons re-

view, be sure to comment on that and on the logo, let us know

what you think!

So, that and a bunch of more cool stuff you would see in this our

3rd issue and the other issues to come if its in God Plan!

rock, but also, what makes this group a awesome band, its that even does who are not fans of

InterviewBand name meaning: When you look into a mirror you see imperfection, you see flaws, you see mistakes,

because we know ourselves in a brutally honest way, making us seem half price.

But no matter how "Half Price" we may seem; someone always looks up to us, or vise versa, and they see

us, or we see them as heroes! so that would make us all a "Half Price Hero"

1. Half Price Hero started in June of 2006. I was in a few bands: The Tiny Wooden Ninjas,

Sonic Def Monkeys, The Sally Reward, and none of these bands ever pushed hard enough,

so I was always the last man standing so to speak. One day while having lunch with pro-

ducer Matt Skudlarek, He says to me "Why don't you just go solo?" (My last band was track-

ing an album with him at the time, and the other members quit.)So I went solo.

2.The one message that I want to get out there more than the music is for people to be real, not just to everyone around them, but

to themselves. Be honest even when it hurts, and seek God... I know a lot of people give Him a shot, but as soon as something bad

happens they drop Him. Nobody every learns how to play the guitar if they quit when a string breaks?

3. When I'm writing a song the first thing I do is open my heart, get our a pen and paper (or marker and glass table) and I start

playing a riff, once I find something I like I improvise lyrics, or hum melodies, until I establish a feeling for the song, then I write

what's on my heart at that current moment.

4. Almost always God is my inspiration, or my emotions at the current moment.

6. My influences are: The Decemberists, Anathallo, Lecrae, Raenbow Station, Mates of state, and Dead End Stanley.

9. As of right now the one song I can't stop listening to is a song called "American Hearts" by a band called Piebald.But the best

album so far for this years is easily "Lecrae" album Rebel.

10. Some plans that I have for the future are to keep playing anywhere that I get invited to, and maybe get some t-shirts out soon

so that people can have something to wear :) Every Homeless person in the state of TN will have a Half Price Hero T-shirt if I can

help it :)

11. I would love to go to Iceland, I love the band "Sigur Ros" and would love to go there, so I can see them live, and lay out in the

grass!! That would be amazing!

12. The best day of my life was easily my album release party! All of the support I got from, friends, Family, and Fans was just

amazing! I was being sued for 1600$ and had 3 days left with only 100$ in my pocket... I raised 1100$ at the Release show thanks

to the best Venue in Chattanooga TN "The Warehouse."

14. If Half Price Hero keeps going the way it has been in the past few months, I will be overly joyed! So far I have gotten to do

more than I ever thought possible.

15. If I was stranded on a desert Island alone I would just eat my arms.... that way I could walk up onto the rescue ship?? or

maybe I would just keep biting the inside of my mouth like I always do, that skin seems to regrow quickly ha ha!

16. The funniest thing I ever Did while I was onstage was waited until a friend of mine had a full mouth of water, and looked at

her made a crazy face and screamed really loud, and she spit her water everywhere! It was priceless.

17. Keep me in your prayers that I don't fall off of a stage! It's my second biggest fear next to getting hit in the ear with a cream

filled doughnut!

18. If I met God tonight, and could ask Him only one question.....hmmmm?.... I would ask Him if I'm lukewarm.

ReviewThis Century it’s a band from Arizona, I just checked them out, and there music, honestly for

all of you that like bands such as: The All-American Reject or any other kind of band

pop/rock or alternative, you would love this band… There music its one of those sounds that

just makes you sing on the bathroom whiles you showing or while you are driving on your

car.

- Sean sort of stumbled upon it...after searching for hundreds of different band names he said

"we need to come up with a band name sometime this century" and it stuck.

What’s the main thing you guys want to transmit with your music (what’s your massage)??

- Peace, love, cool cars, good times

What’s your method when you guys gonna write a song??

- Usually Sean and Alex will come up with the skeleton for the song and then Ryan and I

will add our parts and input...it’s a team effort

And which is your inspiration at the time of write a song??

- Our inspiration comes from every different medium whether it is a movie, artwork, a re-

lationship, a change of scenery...I think it’s important to get out of your comfort zone as

much as possible to try and come up with new ways to express musical ideas

What are This Century influences?

- they're all across the board....john Mayer, radiohead, coldplay, the Beatles, will i am,

that may like Pop, punk or any of that near type of genre...

Songs like “Catch me if you can”, is one of examples you don’t have to be a fan from their

genre, the song just put me up to dance, mosh and probably i would sing it showing today

haha.

Other songs like “Void”, make you love the album, the other songs also are the same, but

those at least I, where my favorites and give me a reason why to love this EP.

The Explained Temptation

Hey Everyone!

Welcome again a new sermon from Word of truth, last sermon we give a little explanation on

why God let happen things at the same time we may clear your mind on probably some other

doubts you may have, in this next sermon I would like to talk about a book, I think would

love and answer many questions of you. I am talking about the book of James.

But who is James? There are over 4 James, although some says there are 5, but the one

everyone or the majority of all people agrees, the writer of this book is the half-brother of

Jesus Christ.

The book is wrote during the persecution made by King Agrippa I against Christian people,

this book talks about many stuff for Christian people, such as no believers.

Today I would like to talk about something we sometimes confuse and it also has to be with

what I talked at the last sermon, I am talking about test God put on our way and the wrong

said by many people: “God has/is tempting me”.

In James, we can see, that of God tempt people, it’s absolutely a completely lie, God works

in the life of those who follow him, God works in our life which when we passed well, it

would have a gift and would strength us more.

The reason because God can’t tempt anybody is because, he can be tempt or tempt anybody,

all temptations comes from evil: “The when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and

sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (James 1:15)

What God is trying to tell us (believers) is that we should resist the test, as I said before,

there’s a promise gift at the end of the test, the crown of life for those who love God (James

1:12)

I know writing this, may sound easy, although it is not, but always God has a way out, but

we should not worry on the way out so much, but if not, in change. That’s what he want us to

do, he put us in several situations to choose us maybe a sin or a problem we had and we

know, we have; Or a problem we may don’t known at all. He works in our life, to take

everything he doesn’t like from us and that’s how we should have to see it.

I know, cause I have been and I am on that position, sometimes my mind tells me, you can’t

hold on the test, but that’s a lie!, a lie from enemy to treat us down and make us fail over and

over, but God is there, and he says in his word he can put us on a test we can handle.

So I encourage you, to look for him, to put your life on him and if God is trying to show you

your mistakes, your sins...

Give it all to him!

In our next sermon we would talk about more, about this wonderful book of James, I would

encourage you to read it if you have the chance cause is of many bless and guide to your life,

as the whole bible. Word of Truth.

you must watch (in case you dont) or if you know it, well... We give our critics.

While working this, i was thinking about which show talk you, and i decide to talk this time

about 30 Rockefeller or just 30 Rock.

Mainly the show is a parody to tv show producing, in this show you would see, as i said be-

fore a parody behind tv show producing and offices, etc.

It’s not a mistake, that this show had win so many awards, because its an funny, cool show

that may make you laugh.

The show stars Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and much more.

Many reasons are recommended to see this show:

1. The Cast: Many of these actors at the series are pretty awesome comedians, some are not

so much, but there many good actors, plus all the team behind the show.

2. The Show itself: The parody, its a really cool work, really funny, everything would make

you laugh.

3. Besides other sitcom shows: I got to admit this is one, i like most and i think if you

haven’t see it, you would love it!
