The Texas Seminar Theme was
‘What you Believe, You Can Achieve.’
This is a quick round up of what you
missed last May, if you didn’t join us for
a very informative
Seminar. It was a full day
starting with a Welcome
from Jim Bloodworth,
President, straight after
Breakfast.
Special Guest Speaker Dina Patel shared
some personal thoughts about AAHOA and her
hotel experiences.
Chris Guimbellot dived straight into Trip
Advisor and shared current best practice on
how to use TripAdvisor and get better reviews.
A Pop Quiz, in the morning, with prizes
provided by Supply Works, Sherwin Williams,
Persona and Showtime.
Ron Lohnes reminded everyone about
checking your hotel for Safety and Security
issues.
Each Franchisee received an up to date list
of specific ways and suggestions, personalized
to their hotel, to improve their online presence,
boost reservations and repeat business
and increase revenue.
Booking.com and Expedia also joined us
to share detailed information about improving
reservation rates and made themselves availa-
ble for further questions, answers and infor-
mation.
Sabre Hospitality Solutions finished the
day with a presentation giving plenty of oppor-
tunity for discussion and questions about how
the recent Reservation System changeover can
help increase reservations.
There were also Giveaways and Prizes
from Vendors, plus the Draw for the iPad
Air 2…..won this time by Galveston,TX!
