Bye-Bye Bingo Supplies, and Cheese

Over a period of several months, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary church in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, was robbed of thousands of dollars’ worth of Bingo supplies by someone with a key to the facility. The loss was so significant that the church’s Bingo had to be cancelled. On top of the Bingo theft, the church was also robbed of four pounds of cheese that was to be used for an upcoming pierogies sale/fundraiser. At press time, police were still investigating the theft. In the meantime, the church has changed all the locks.

Space Invaders!

Hi Guy,I am a Bingo volunteer and wanted

to get your opinion on an incident that took place at our charity Bingo that caused a lot of trouble and ill will.

During a recent Bingo night we had a large turnout. An unusual thing about it was that almost all the players were women. The count was like 120 women and 5 men.

We actually didn’t notice the gender count until at the end of the first session and first intermission. A large line formed at the women’s restroom and after a few minutes the men’s restroom was left unoccupied. Several of the female players noticed this and made a quick dash to the men’s bathroom. Eventually these quick dashes turned into a second line, even though there were only two stalls in the men’s room and one of those was for disabled.

For 10 or so minutes no one had any issue with this, until one of the male patrons, an older gentleman, came over to use the men’s restroom. My understanding is that when he was confronted by the line of women at the men’s room door, he politely said he needed the facilities, but the women refused to give up the restroom. A

second male player then walked up, demanded to be let in, and the women again refused. The second man was much less polite than the first, and began shouting that they had no right to be using the men’s room or blocking his entry. This angered some of the women, who began shouting back.

I overheard the raised voices and ran over to see what the problem was. (In all honesty, I was about due to use the facilities myself.) The male player told me the women had taken over the men’s bathroom and refused to give it back. At this point, several of the women suggested (loudly) that the men should go urinate in the parking lot.

I didn’t know what to do. But things were getting out of hand.

That was when our Bingo director, a woman, showed up to find out what was going on. The man repeated his story and this time the women in line stared him down but said nothing. The Bingo director then entered the men’s room, escorted the handful of women out, then let the men go in and use it. She then made a quick announcement asking any other men who needed to use the restroom to please come now, so that the overflow of women customers could use it.

Two more male volunteers, one other male player, and I sheepishly slipped into the restroom. When we had finished, the director reopened the men’s room to the women. After about 15 minutes, everyone had done their business and was back in their seats for the second session.

Before the session started, the Bingo director got on the loudspeaker and announced that during the second

intermission, the men’s room would be for men first, and afterward could be used by the women. I got stuck being bathroom doorman in case another clash erupted, which it didn’t. Lucky me.

Do you think this incident was handled correctly? I personally felt that the women should never have been allowed into the men’s room in the first place. Now, I’m concerned that this is going to happen every time there is Bingo. And what if this had happened in reverse and a group of men invaded/took over the ladies’ room? I’m sure all hell would have broken loose!

Robert, Colorado

Hi Robert,In my opinion, these women were

out of line in simply taking over the men’s restroom and then putting up a fight when men tried to use it. At the very least, one of them should have asked a person in charge if using the men’s room was okay; after that, some kind of supervised arrangement could have been put in place, as your Bingo director arranged.

To your second point: What if it had been men who took over a ladies room and banned a handful of women from using it?

Frankly, I cannot imagine that happening in a million years. —Guy

Finding Friends at bingo

Dear Aunt Bingo:My husband, Larry, passed away some

years ago and my kids are all grown and scattered around the country living their busy lives. Because of this, when I reached retirement age in 2017, I decided to make a huge change and sell my house and move to Arizona—a place Larry and I had travelled to several times and had discussed maybe retiring to one day.

It was a really big step for me: The town where I lived was all of eight miles away from the town where I was born, and I had lots of friends and wonderful support in Michigan. But I also had spinal issues, back problems and achy joints that made six months out of the year really hard to manage. My doctor strongly recommended that I move to a warmer, dryer area for the sake of my health and wellbeing.

I discussed the idea with my kids, who were all for it, and with my friends in Michigan, who hated the idea of seeing me leave but understood I’d be healthier if I did. Plus, as one friend said, if I didn’t like it, there was nothing wrong with packing

up and returning. My kids helped me shop for housing.

I chose one of the condo developments relatively close to Phoenix because I wanted to be near a city, but not too near. I was super nervous when moving day finally came, but within a week I was in my new home with all my stuff and pretty relieved and proud that I’d made such a big change.

Every day I would venture out to get familiar with the area and get more comfortable with my new home. Overall I was happy with everything, except that I began to regret that I hadn’t chosen one of the senior community settings, which had built in activities and places for meeting people and making new friends. I was getting a little lonely.

One day I picked up a small community newspaper at the food store, which I figured would have listings for things going on around town. One of the first ads I spotted was for Bingo right up the street from me. I hadn’t played Bingo since forever, and decided to go.

It turned out to be a small charity Bingo in an activity hall and there were a lot of players my age. I bought my Bingo paper and dobbers and sat at an empty table. After several minutes, two ladies came to my table and asked if the seats were free and I said yes and they sat down.

One of them asked me if I was new to the Bingo hall because she didn’t recall seeing me there before. I said that I was new to Bingo and the area and explained that I’d just moved here. They were very kind and welcoming, and it turned out that one of them lived in the same condo development I did.

We chatted throughout Bingo and walked together back to the development afterward. I was very excited and happy when they invited me to join them for lunch the following day. And just like that, thanks to a quick trip to Bingo, I met two of my dearest new Arizona friends who are

helping me settle into my new home.So I am writing today to share my

experience and encourage people who want to meet new people and maybe make some new friends to take a look around the Bingo hall. It worked for me!

Connie F., Arizona

Dear Connie:Congratulations on your new life

adventure! As I’m writing this, it is cold and gray

outside and there’s a foot of fresh Northeast snow on the ground. Needless to say, it makes me want to pack my bags and grab the next flight to sunny Arizona!

Your letter makes an important point—along with chasing those cash jackpots, Bingo really is a great opportunity for getting out of the house, doing something social and possibly making a new friend or two along the way. I highly recommend it! —Aunt Bingo

The perfect ladies night

We had been holding our friend Lawrence’s hand while he made the difficult decision to have a sex change operation. He had been struggling with this for many years and finally decided to do it. So he became our friend, Laura, and a new personality emerged.

Lawrence was a pilot and Laura continued to be, changing her license. “I want to keep doing what I love,” she explained. “Besides, I have this nice little plane to keep running.” She was large for a woman and had rather big hands.

I had expected her to be a little more self-conscious, but she was quite sure of herself except where her children were concerned. That turned out to be a problem in which I could help. Her daughter, Midge, and I went shopping for some new clothes for Laura and found some goodies that pleased us all.

Her son was a different proposition altogether. He struggled with his father’s decision and could not reconcile himself to having two mothers instead of a mother and father. Even though his parents had been separated for years, he was a malcontent. “I

don’t know how to act around him or her, I guess. She doesn’t even have a boyfriend. No reason to change right now.”

I suggested a support group I had heard good things about and he said he would try it although he seemed to feel he was the only person on earth whose parent had made such a drastic change in his/her life.

Kate decided a Bingo game was exactly what was needed. We took Laura to a local casino. She dressed rather festively in jeans and a sparkling top and seemed ready to have a good time. Laura kept doing traditional male things like holding the door for a woman, and waiting for a woman to buy in before taking her turn, but other than that, I couldn’t see anything amiss. When it came time to visit the ladies room, I took her, fearing a problem, but she did fine.

Playing Bingo was just the diversion Laura needed and she went at it with great enthusiasm, even finding a number on one of my cards I had missed. She was on for Bonanza and was greatly excited, but did not win.

The next-to-last game was one I had not played before and it was called odd or even. It was a blackout and the first ball pulled determined what was wild—odd or even numbers. I reviewed my card several times having previously missed a number, but could find no mistakes. Laura was soon on and rooted—not silently—for her odd number to come up.

“I’m odd enough to win this one!” she declared. Then, “Oh, there it is. My number. I’ve won!” She was so excited she could not sit still and bounced out of her chair, waiting for the worker to come.

There were four other winners, so Laura did not win a great deal, but she was very elated at having a win and Kate and I were also delighted.

“Dinner is on me,” she declared. “And I want to have it right here in this casino.”

The waitress came and said, “What can I get for you ladies?”

“That makes it perfect,” asserted Laura. “She called me a lady.”

plain Jane gets Hit on

My vision of myself has never been a problem for me. I am not, and have never been a raving beauty. I figured that out when I was sixteen and discovered that my eyebrows are almost invisible. The color of my hair has always been questionable—somewhere between the hue of butterscotch pudding and a faded dishrag.

There were a couple times in life when I wanted to be thinner, or at least a bit dainty, but that just doesn’t fit me so I went on with life a little on the “healthy” side. St. Francis de Sales says, “Be who you are and be that well.” People expect more of you if you are good lookin’—so I kind of go along with St Francis.

I’ve never been to a manicurist. I’ve used a nail file and a handy clipper for years and if I needed a clip while away from home, I had my incisors. This was a good system until I got dentures.

I could never sit still long enough for a manicure.

A clotheshorse I am not. I recently shopped for a pair of shoes and the least expensive pair was $50. The last new pair I bought in 1965 was $14.95. That was for “top of the line” in those days, but I decided to splurge since I was in New York. My Mom never let me forget that I griped about the price of the shoes the whole trip, but gladly spent $60 to see Funny Girl on Broadway.

Knowing all this, it is not surprising that not one employer or co-worker, business person or other male has ever made an inappropriate pass at me, invited me out to dinner, or even made a suggestive remark…until last week.

I never confirm a friend on the computer unless I know the person, by name or reputation. I don’t know what went wrong, but this stranger knew how to get the attention of a plain Jane right off.

“Is that you and your sister in your profile picture?”

“The pretty one is my mother.”“You both are beautiful. Which one

are you?”“I am on the left. This was taken

in New York at Jack Dempsey Restaurant.”

“I knew it. Can’t get that lovely smile out of my mind.”

“Thanks.”“What is your profession?”“Oh, I play Bingo with a bunch of

girls. By the way, that picture was taken over sixty years ago. Enjoyed our visit, but it’s time for my morning nap now.”

Some friend. He didn’t even say goodbye.

horoscopes for march 2018

ARIES (MAR 21-APR 20): You don’t have to play superhero this month. Yes, it’s true, you’re considered a trusty protector of the lost or confused–a heroine by all of your friends, ready to rescue those in need at the drop of a hat. But even Wonder Woman needs a time out! Nature is your remedy! Get out and about under the sky, in the lake or your backyard’s garden. The rest of the world can wait.

Lucky Days: 9 - 23Lucky Numbers: 44 - 47

TAURUS (APR 21-MAY 21): Wow! So who is your secret admirer? March finds you confirming the old saying that love can be found in the most unlikely places. Not in a relationship? Well here’s how to remedy that. Make a list of the most unusual places you could ever imagine meeting someone new. And then, at New Moon time on the 16th, start visiting those off-the-grid spots. Cupid is waiting for you!

new Horizons

Dear Dream Guy,In my dream my good friend and I are

at a carwash, waiting outside for my car to appear on the exit ramp of the wash. But it never arrives. We keep waiting for my car and then finally I go to find the manager of the car wash to ask him what happened to my vehicle. And he says to me: “Lady, didn’t you see what all the commotion was about earlier? A little kid got into your car and drove away in the opposite direction.” I was so shocked I woke up from the dream instantly. What do you make of this?

Fran M., Baltimore, MD

Dear Fran,Cars are important in dreams; very

often a vehicle represents the manner in which we motor or maneuver our way through life–but in a very public way. Unlike clothing, which is a much more personal expression of our image, cars can symbolize how we strategize to get ahead, how we attempt to reach our goals

directly, moving from “Point A” to “Point B.” Because a small child took over your vehicle in your narrative, and ended up taking off in the “opposite direction,” it’s probably a good time to rethink how you’ve been formulating your goals—the path you have been following. The dream seems to suggest that you “wash away” your old efforts and return to the start of your journey to try out a fresh approach, which is what children often indicate in our dreams–new beginnings. —Dream Guy

Dear Dream Guy,During Christmastime last year I

dreamed that I was alone on a beach but could see a very bright white star hanging over the horizon. Although time passed, the star never wavered or set. When my alarm went off for work I awoke with a deep sense of peace and joy. Was this just the holiday spirit moving through me?

Rachel R., Seattle, WA

Dear Rachel,The simplicity of your dream is lovely,

and no less potent for it. Horizons and shorelines often mark a willingness to reconsider the entirety of one’s situation, be that a job, relationship or puzzling riddle. When we are moving about on land we have the option of going any direction we choose, but when we arrive at the ocean we pause, usually in awe of the grandeur of nature. A kind of time out. The unwavering star marks your dedication to seeing and exploring the unknown, to remain open to a revelation or new insight. That the star is constant in the sky indicates that a silent sort of spiritual guidance could be leading the way. What a wonderful holiday gift this dream gave you. —Dream Guy

Lucky Days: 6 - 15Lucky Numbers: 29 - 30

GEMINI (MAY 22-JUN 21): With the New Moon lighting up your house of career, the focus this month is in initiating status changes or professional moves that support your progress without rocking the boat so much it is in danger of sinking. You’re good at unraveling paradoxes like this; keep your eye on your goal and let your wits guide you.

Lucky Days: 17 - 27Lucky Numbers: 24 - 58

CANCER (JUN 22-JUL 22): If you’re dreaming of faraway destinations but can’t afford the expense of long distance travel, don’t fret. Your imagination is so active this month you can discover pleasure in the simplest of happenings, right in your own neighborhood. The call to journey is very similar to the mystery of meeting strangers, the forging of new friendships. Add that goal to your list of possibilities too!

Lucky Days: 9 - 25Lucky Numbers: 2 - 31

LEO (JUL 23-AUG 23): Although spring is associated with new beginnings, this year it’s about various types of closure for you. Consider the words of psychologist Erich Fromm: “Creativity requires the courage to let go of certainties.” Life offers us renewal at every turn, although some periods of growth are more complicated and uncertain. Make this a time for enhancing your innate trust in the goodness of life. It will not let you down.

Lucky Days: 1 - 23Lucky Numbers: 51 - 60

VIRGO (AUG 24-SEP 23): With your ruler Venus in conjunction with the New Moon, love is firmly, indubitably

on your mind. You can’t escape the urge-to-merge’s life-affirming power. You are at the top of your game when you’re strategizing, so it’s best to lay out a game plan at the top of the month, choose one: how to best go about meeting someone new (hint: join a new club or organization), or how to best rekindle an existing relationship.

Lucky Days: 8 - 16Lucky Numbers: 28 - 34

LIBRA (SEP 24-OCT 23): Honesty and truth telling win the day. You like to strive for harmony and balance in life, but occasionally clear-cut facts are required to save the day and set things right. With Mars moving into your house of history, you’ll want to apply your gumption to clearing out some very old skeletons in the closet. A no nonsense attitude proves most effective.

Lucky Days: 17 - 27Lucky Numbers: 4 - 16

SCORPIO (OCT 24-NOV 22): To untangle yourself from some messy financial situations consider what’s involved with the process of refinement. In other words: Cut away the superfluous and employ the art of frugality to rescue the day. The New Moon on the 16h will set things right if you trust in the law of compensation. When you release an old habit you also acquire a new skill.

Lucky Days: 3 - 17Lucky Numbers: 23 - 60

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 23-DEC 21): The New Moon on the 16th occurs at the base of your chart. You’re laying a new foundation this month or perhaps securing a more solid position. It’s important to change things up on your home front though; do whatever is necessary to feel supported and nurtured. As Wilfred Peterson wrote: “A home should be a

stockade, a refuge from the flaming arrows of anxiety, tension and worry.”

Lucky Days: 4 - 23Lucky Numbers: 3 - 56

CAPRICORN (DEC 22-JAN 20): Mars will enter your house of ‘self’

this month, galvanizing you out of the simmering funk you’ve been in since the beginning of the year. Because you function best with structures and outlines–make that your goal in March. Put in place some system of accountability so you can track your progress as you work your way towards your lifelong dream. Don’t put it off.

Lucky Days: 10 - 19Lucky Numbers: 44 - 54

AQUARIUS (JAN 21-FEB 19): You’ve a keen interest in seeing the world around you modernize, to become the best that it can be, not just for you, but for all humankind. You will have an ally this month when the fiery planet Mars enters your house of dreams. This means your unconscious mind will secretly guide you along your way, showing you the surest way to help everyone evolve.

Lucky Days: 8 - 21Lucky Numbers: 3 - 52

PISCES (FEB 20-MAR 20): Once a year, at the Pisces New Moon (on the 16th) you’re afforded an opportunity to recreate your image and reconfirm that you’re a force to be reckoned with. On the surface you seem demure and ultra-sensitive–and this is true; but there is a fierce side to your nature that needs to find expression, and this is the month to let that part roam freely to define your goals for the rest of the year.

Lucky Days: 6 - 10Lucky Numbers: 5 - 58

Greetings From Roswell, NM

When you say the words “Roswell, New Mexico,” many people instantly think of UFOs and alien beings. Well, let me tell you this: Roswell may be best known for what some people say was a spaceship landing back in 1947, but today it’s a thriving community, full of extremely friendly people and a great Bingo hall.

I have often suggested in this monthly column that if you are planning on visiting a city, check on the Internet to see if it has Bingo. When I knew I was finally getting to Roswell, that’s exactly what I did. I found that a civic club called Sertoma has Bingo three times a week. Its Wednesday night Bingo coincided perfectly with my stay in “Alien City.”

When I went to the buy-in window I was a little confused. The entire evening was going to consist of only eight games, the last of which was a cover-the-card. When I said I was from out of town, the woman at the window gave me a free dauber. Of course, I picked yellow.

I soon found that although only eight games would be played on the pack I purchased, there were an additional 20 “side games,” those little cards that contain a small group of numbers. Bingo numbers are called and the aim is to Bingo on the

small card. Sounds simple? It isn’t. The odds are actually worse, in some ways than a traditional Bingo game. So, combine the eight “regular” games with the 20 “side games” and it became a full evening.

The club’s Bingo hall was large, well lighted, and full of some really fun people. And, this time around, I thought I would have some fun. I didn’t tell anyone that I have been playing Bingo since 1957, or that I was a national Bingo columnist. I let the people sitting near me think that I really was new at our favorite game. They could not have been more helpful.

An older fellow sitting across from me pre-marked my cards with the patterns for the night. Again, I played dumb. It became genuine fun. I got to sample just how much the folks there really liked Bingo and the way they took their time to make sure that I knew exactly what was going on.

I can’t complain about the fact that I was never even close at any time that night. After all, I keep preaching that you “play Bingo for the fun of it, not to win.” I welcome your comments to: [email protected]. I would especially love to hear your experiences in small halls in out-of-the-way places. For my money, Bingo in big halls can be both fun and lucrative; but, for my money, it’s small-town Bingo that is the best.

don’t Eat This if you’re Taking That

Dear Savvy Senior,If the prescription label says “take

with meals,” does it matter what you eat? I currently take eight different medications for various health problems and would like to know if there are any foods I need to avoid.

—Over Medicated

Dear Over,It depends on the medication. Many

meds should be taken with food–any food–to increase their absorption and reduce the risk of side effects. But some foods and medications can interact, reducing the medications’ effectiveness or increasing the risk of harmful side effects.

To stay safe, you should always talk to your doctor or pharmacist to learn the ins and outs of your prescriptions, along with what foods and beverages to avoid while you’re on it. In the meantime, here are some foods you should stay away from for some commonly prescribed drugs.

Cholesterol Medications: If you take a certain statin drug to control high cholesterol like Liptor, Zocor, Altoprev, Mevacor, or generics atorvastatin, simvastatin or lovastatin, you should avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the level of the drug in your bloodstream and increase

the risk of side effects, especially leg pain.

Blood Pressure Medicine: If you take an ACE inhibitor drug like Capoten, Vasotec, Monopril, Zestril and others to lower your blood pressure, you should limit food that contains potassium like bananas, oranges, tomatoes, spinach and other leafy greens, sweet potatoes, and salt substitutes that contain potassium. ACE inhibitors raise the body’s potassium levels. Eating too many potassium rich-foods while taking an ACE inhibitor can cause an irregular heartbeat and heart palpitations.

Blood Thinning Medications: If you are taking Coumadin, Jantoven, or the generic warfarin, you should limit kale and other greens, including broccoli, cabbage, spinach, and brussels sprouts that contain vitamin K. These foods can block the effects of these blood-thinning medications putting you at risk for developing blood clots. You also need to watch out for garlic, ginger, vitamin E and fish oil supplements because they can increase these medications blood-thinning abilities putting you at risk for excessive bleeding.

Antidepressants: If you take a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressant like Marplan, Nardil, Emsam, Parnate, or generic isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline or tranylcypromine, avoid aged cheeses, chocolate, cured meats and alcoholic drinks. These contain tyramine, which can raise blood pressure. Normally, the body controls tyramine levels with an enzyme called monoamine oxidase, but the MAOI antidepressant block that enzyme.

Thyroid Medications: If you take a medication for hypothyroidism like Synthroid, Levoxyl, Levothroid or generic levothyroxine, you should avoid eating tofu and walnuts, and drinking soymilk. All these can prevent your body from absorbing this medicine.

Anti-Anxiety Medications: If you take medication for anxiety like Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, or generic alprazolam, clonazepam, diazepam or lorazepam, you should avoid alcohol. These medications act as sedatives, binding with the brain’s natural tranquilizers to calm you down. But when you mix these drugs with alcohol, the side effects intensify, and can cause you to feel lightheaded, sleepy and forgetful.

Antibiotics: If you’re taking an antibiotic like Sumycin, Dynacin, Monodox, or generic tetracycline, doxycycline or minocycline, you should avoid dairy–milk, yogurt, and cheese, and calcium supplements and fortified foods–for a couple hours before and after taking the medicine. Calcium in dairy products binds to the antibiotic and prevents your body from absorbing it, making it ineffective.

To find more dietary guidance on the drugs you take, see reliable health sites like MedlinePlus.gov or MayoClinic.org, or consider the excellent new AARP book Don’t Eat This If You’re Taking That: The Hidden Risks of Mixing Food and Medicine available at Amazon.com for $11.

show and author of The Savvy Senior book.

pilot Takes Flight in lucrative TournamentBy Chad Holloway

In October, the World Poker Tour’s Bestbet Bounty Scramble main event drew 323 players to Jacksonville, Florida. The battle for the $315,723 winner’s prize came down to Paul Petraglia, a local player and airline pilot by trade, and defending tournament champion Sam Panzica.

Petraglia had never cashed in a poker tournament for more than $20,000, while Panzica was a seasoned pro with more than $3.7 million in live tournament earnings over his career. It was a David vs. Goliath story, and the result was similar to the biblical tale, as Petraglia managed to fell the poker giant.

In what would be the final hand of the tournament, the blinds were 75,000-150,000 with an ante of 25,000 when Petraglia raised to 350,000 holding 9s 7s and Panzica defended with Jh 3h.

The flop came down 8h 6h 5d. Panzica checked, and Petraglia bet

400,000.Panzica, who was sitting with 2.35

million behind, had too large a stack to move all in on the flop. (A shove would have been for more than three times the pot.) As such, he had checked with the intention of check-raising with his flush draw. Petraglia’s bet allowed Panzica to do that, and of course Petraglia snap-called, having flopped the nut straight.

Panzica needed a heart to win, but he was left wanting as the 8c blanked on the turn, followed by the 2c on the river. With that, Panzica was eliminated in second place for $210,783, while Petraglia celebrated his championship and saw his name inscribed on the WPT Champions Cup.

In hindsight, could Panzica have played his hand any differently so as not to go bust? Given that J-3 suited is a weak hand, he could have folded preflop. However, it was heads-up play, and he was in the big blind. It’s important to loosen your range in the final stage of a tournament, especially when you have a good amount of chips invested in the hand. A fold wouldn’t have been terrible, but most experienced tournament players would have called in that spot.

Once two hearts come down on the flop, the hand pretty much played itself. Panzica had the opportunity to move all in, but he didn’t want to chase out weak hands. He’d rather feign weakness with a check and have his opponent put in a continuation bet. That way, when his opponent does have weak holdings (which is most of the time), Panzica is picking up extra chips by check-raising.

Another choice Panzica had was to

just call and see if a heart appeared on the turn. However, when you’re the short stack, playing a strong draw passively while out of position is not a recipe for success. You’re prone to just bleed off chips when you miss and not get paid when you hit.

In this hand, Panzica did what almost any pro would do. He allowed his opponent to commit some chips before jamming to maximize both value and fold equity. Unfortunately for him, Petraglia had flopped the nuts and had an easy call. The rest was up to the poker gods.
