The questions and answers in this game come the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture
and other Catholic religious source material.
This game and others games like it are an excellent source for use in reinforcing Catholic formation at home for parents, to teach their children about our
Catholic Faith and what it means to be a Catholic; in grade school, high school, RCIA, adult education,
and sacramental preparation.

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR FAITH? # 3
Before we begin our game let us pray:
Dear Father in heaven we thank you for sending your beloved Son Jesus to teach us your will and
for offering up his life on the cross for our sins. As we play this game please send you Holy Spirit
upon us to open our hearts and minds to understand what you desire us to know so that we
may grow in our knowledge, love and service to you and to follow Jesus command: “Go forth and
spread the good news.” We ask this in Jesus name. Amen. 04/19/2023 3

we being human can’t make restitution since we are not equal to God. We must ask for

Prayer, good-works, sacrifice, we can never make restitution for our sins, we are not
equal to God. Jesus already paid the price for our sins

We cannot get into heaven with sin on our soul. If we die with venial sin, we go to
purgatory to do the temporal punishment for our sins that remain. If we die with mortal sin
on our soul we go to hell for eternity

WE MUST BE SORRY FOR OUR SINS, SEEK GOD’S FORGIVENESSS IN THE SACRAMENT
OF RECONCILIATION AND MAKE A FIRM DECISION NOT TO SIN AGAIN.
WE CAN TELL GOD WE ARE SORRY FOR OUR SINS WITHOUT THE SACRAMENT, BUT JESUS
GAVE US THE SACRAMENT IN ORDER TO GIVE US THE GRACES TO AVOID SIN.

God does not want us to sin. We sin by our own choosing, our own freewill. If God
took away our freewill we wouldn’t be made in his image and likeness

Because of man’s freewill. All of the evil in the world is caused by man. When man turned
away from God the whole world both nature and man became imperfect.

We individually contribute to sin in the world by our words, deeds, actions that are contrary
to God’s love. Each time we do not obey Gods’ law we sin and place more evil in the
world.
