PRESIDENT’S CORNERThis will be my last “report” for the ClubLink as my term as President comes to an end after the AGM on Sunday. I wish the incoming President, Jim Smith, all the best, and I am sure that he will steer the Club in the right direction.Coming up in August we have the Karaoke Comp finals on the 15th, The Guy Cater Hypno Comedy Show on the 14th and the Annual Housie Fundraiser on the 20th.In September we have the Abba Show on the 12th and The Jordan Luck Band on the 25th.Tickets to all our shows are selling fast so be quick if you don’t want to miss out !TRACEY PASKELLPresident XIV

SOCIAL & YOUTH MEMBERSHIPSThis is a great way for partners and children of existing full members to utilize the Clubs facilities at their leisure. Social members shall be legally married spouses and or the common law spouses of existing Ordinary or Life Members. Social members have the same rights as a full member with the exclusion of:-Social Members will have no voting rights, will not be eligible to stand for Executive Committee and will not be allowed to attend any AGM or Extra-Ordinary General Meeting, and they will have no rights to represent the Club in competitions.Youth members shall be sons or daughters of full members and must be between the age of their eighteenth and twenty fourth birthdays.After the age of 24 years they may apply for Full Membership as the Youth Membership will terminate.Youth Members shall have the same entitlements as Social Members.To enjoy our facilities, Social & Youth member subscriptions are only $50 per year.Application forms are available from reception.

GUESTSIt is a requirement of the District Licencing Agency that all visitors over the age of 18 years must be signed in and must produce their visitors chit on request.Please remember that members are also required to produce their membership card on request.

by Martin Butler On 12th October 1918, the

New Zealand Flying School took possession of the first two Boeing aircraft ever made.

This presentation will briefly cover the author’s research and investigations spanning over thirty years, as he attempts to unravel the mystery of what lies beneath the surface of North Head.
