ABOUT THE CENTER
Since 1998, UCSF’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center has provided a wealth of programs and services to the UCSF community and beyond.
For over a decade, the Center has nurtured diversity, created a supportive work environment, and promoted high-quality patient care at one of the fi nest health care, education, and research institutions in the world. And as the only LGBT offi ce in a health setting, and one of the fi rst LGBT offi ces in higher education, the UCSF LGBT Center has also been a powerful voice for LGBT equality in health, employment, and education nationwide.
KEY PROGRAMS & SERVICES
The Center’s comprehensive website, lgbt.ucsf.edu, offers detailed information about these programs and services—and much more!
Events •The Center sponsors a wide variety of LGBT-related events for the UCSF campus community, including workshops, lectures, performances, and conferences.
Training & Consulting •The Center’s seasoned staff frequently offers customized lectures and workshops on LGBT topics for students, staff, and faculty. The Center also provides confi dential consulting about LGBT-related concerns in the classroom and workplace.
Listserv & Other Resources •LGBT UCSFers stay connected via a lively listserv. And UCSF boasts numerous other LGBT resources, including student and staff groups.
Out List •Out UCSF faculty, staff, students, residents, interns, fellows, and alums are featured in an online Out List that encourages mentoring and networking. And the Visibility Project highlights the accomplishments and opinions of LGBT UCSFers.
Information & Research •The Center’s website features up-to-date information about LGBT health and workplace issues, as well as helpful FAQs.
Support & Advocacy •UCSFers are warmly invited to contact the Center for individualized support and seasoned advocacy around any LGBT concern.
