Parents, help your child prepare as if you were preparing a simple essay for school. Write out what needs to be said on paper and rehearse it all with your child. The actual interview will take place in a conversation-style setting between Zack and your child up in the studio to make this as comfortable as possible. ~ On A Separate Sheet Of Paper ~ At-Home Essay-Interview Help! What Will I Be Asked Up In The “Studio?”Every interview is broken up into THREE portions. THREE questions / THREE portions. But before we even do anything with the camera turned on, Zack is going to sit with your child and walk them through the expectations we have for each portion to calm nerves. So take out a piece of paper and a pencil and start thinking about how to answer these questions: First, you will be asked to start your interview and boldly look into the camera and say, “my God is frst.” Q1: Then, you will be asked to, “Tell me a story about how you made God happy this week with your choices?” (at home, at school, at church, or in my neighborhood, etc.) HELP! Need some help answering that question? Think about a time THIS WEEK where you had a decision to make . . . a tough decision where you found yourself in a sticky situation. Maybe you had the chance to look at someone’s paper during a test and you decided not to or maybe you heard some kids out on the playground talking about something they weren’t supposed to and you stepped in and said something about it or maybe someone was trying to get you to do something you knew you weren’t supposed to do and you decided not to do it. Tell me a story about something that happened in your life THIS WEEK that made God happy. Second, you will be asked to boldly look into the camera and say, “my Neighbor is second.” Q2: You will continue by telling a story that answers, “Who is my Neighbor and how did I help someone in need this week?” (at home, at school, at church, or in my neighborhood, etc.) HELP! Need some help answering this question? Think about what Jesus said about “neighbors.” WHO is your neighbor anyway? An expert in the Law asked Jesus that same question in Luke 10:25-37 with His parable about the Good Samaritan. Tell me a story about when you went the extra mile for someone in need. In your story, did you go the extra mile like the Good Samaritan did and serve someone else or will you go the extra to walk away from your friend who needed you like the priest and the Levite did in Jesus’ parable. If you think about it, all three men went the extra mile for the beaten traveler . . . but only one of them walked towards the man in need. What do you do when you see someone who is alone on the playground or someone eating lunch by themselves . . . do you walk away from them or do you walk towards that person like the Good Samaritan did? I’ve Got A T-Shirt, Now What?

AFTER your kid gets the free t-shirt and some time haspassed, expect a call from Zack to schedule a time where your child

can come in and sit down with Zack and tell their story, answering the threebasic questions mentioned below. Parents, help your child prepare as if you were preparing a simple

essay for school. Write out what needs to be said on paper and rehearse it all with your child. Theactual interview will take place in a conversation-style setting between Zack and your child up in the

studio to make this as comfortable as possible.

~ On A Separate Sheet Of Paper ~At-Home Essay-Interview Help! What Will I Be Asked Up In The “Studio?”Every interview is

broken up into THREE portions. THREE questions / THREE portions. But before we even doanything with the camera turned on, Zack is going to sit with your child and walk themthrough the expectations we have for each portion to calm nerves.

So take out a piece of paper and a pencil and start thinking about how to answer these questions:

First, you will be asked to start your interview and boldly look into the camera and say, “my God is first.”

Q1: Then, you will be asked to, “Tell me a story about how you made God happy this week with your choices?”(at home, at school, at church, or in my neighborhood, etc.)

HELP! Need some help answering that question? Think about a time THIS WEEK where you had a decision to make . . . a tough decision where you found yourself in a

sticky situation. Maybe you had the chance to look at someone’s paper during a test and you decided not to or maybe youheard some kids out on the playground talking about something they weren’t supposed to and you stepped in and said

something about it or maybe someone was trying to get you to do something you knew you weren’t supposed to do and youdecided not to do it. Tell me a story about something that happened in your life THIS WEEK that made God happy.

Second, you will be asked to boldly look into the camera and say, “my Neighbor is second.”

Q2: You will continue by telling a story that answers, “Who is my Neighbor and how did I help someone in need this week?” (at home, at school, at church, or in my neighborhood, etc.)

HELP! In your story,

did you go the extra mile like the Good Samaritan did and serve someone else or will you go the extra to walk away from your friend who neededyou like the priest and the Levite did in Jesus’ parable. If you think about it, all three men

Third, you will be asked to boldly look into the camera and say, “I am Third.” Maybe you aresaying to yourself, “I’m only ________ years old, how do I know what God is teaching me?”

Well this is a very important question to ask yourself so think hard about how you will finishyour interview.

Q3: At the end of your interview I will ask, “What is God showing you to work onright now that is teaching you to put others first before yourself?” (at home, atschool, at church, or in my neighborhood, etc.)

HELP! Need some help answering that question? First: Read Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit islove, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is nolaw.” Second: Pick one of the Fruits of the Spirit that is the

most difficult for you and then think about what God mightbe teaching you . . . maybe you have a little brother or sister

that annoys you and bugs you because they always take yourthings . . . maybe God is teaching you about PATIENCE. Or maybe

you just want to smack your little brother or sister but you knowthat’s wrong . . . maybe God is teaching you about SELF-CONTROL.
