InlineRace

An inline race is typically a competition inwhich start and einish are not coincident. Raceformatcouldbearunning5or10K,oraMTBmarathonorothers.Asalternative,thisraceformatcouldhandleanIN-LINEracewithREALTIME.InthiscasetheSTARTandFINISHLINEarecoincident.Inthisconeiguration,thestarttimeisnecessarilysetasthemomenttheracemanagerpushesthe“RACESTART”button.AsdeeinitionthisistheGUNSTARTtime.TheelapsedtimeforeachcompetitoriscalculatedasthedifferencebetweenthetimetheathleteisdetectedtotheKinishlineandtheGUNSTARTtime.NormallytheabsoluterankingistheorderofarrivalattheKinishlineIf Realtime option is selected, the order of arrival still generate the absolute ranking. AREALTIMEadditionalinformationforeachparticipantwillbeaddedintheeinalranking

CircuitRaceCreation

A circuit race is a typical race format in which the competitors begin and einish thecompetitioninthesameplace.Forrunningraces,MTB,roadcycling,skating,wecouldusethisraceformat.

Byselecting“2”ormoreasthenumberoflaps,theraceissetas“CIRCUIT”.

This is the fastest enrollment procedure, since it require just to import a single CSV eilecontainingallthecompetitors’informationsandpersonaldetails.The software requires to compile a .CSV eile (semicolon separated value) with a pre-determinedcolumnstructure.Here’sanexample:

• Create an inline race with 1 lap, as per thededicatedsectioninthismanual.

• Intherealtimetop-downmenu,select“INDIVIDUALREALTIME”

• Perform an enrollment procedure as described inthesection(5).

• Lordtheraceasdescribedinchapter7.• Oncetheraceisloaded,acompletecompetitorilistwillbedisplayedinthemaintimekeeperwindow.

• Alignallcompetitoribehindthedetectionline.• PressSTARTwhentheracebegins.• Asitthecompetitorsaredetectedonthestartline,their entries on themain timekeeperwindowwillbecomeazure

• Onceallcompetitorshavecrossedthe start line, it’s possible to check if all havebeendetected.Ifnot,bypressingthe dedicated button, it’s possible to overridethe START TIME and set the one of theGUNSTART

• Waitforthecompetitorstocrosstheeinishline• Oncetheraceiscompleted,stoptheraceandprintrankings.

9.3Inlineracewithmultiplestartsbywaves/heats

Thisraceconeigurationallowstomanageaninlinewithcompetitorsstartinginwaves.This format could be very useful for Spartan Race, OCR or Military training, since thecompetitorwillstarttheraceinmultiplewaves,forexample:

Or, as alternative, a circuit race in which different categories are running different lapnumbers,forexample:

A relay race is a special format in which the race route/lap is completed alternately or insequence,bymorethanonecompetitorperteam.Itisthereforeassumedthatthereisareservedareaalongthecourse,dedicatedtothechangeoftherunner.Asimpleexampleofuseisforcompetitionsonthestyleof6x1/12x1/24x1hour,whereeachteam mate competes for an hour, before passing the relay (virtual or real) to the nextcomponentofhis/herteam.
