Although it was the first time, IFest was success to make Information Technology and Computer Science students to be more innovative and creative. This event was held from November 2014, the top event of IFest 2014 was marked by the exhibition of the works and the announcement of the winners at Filkom Gazebo on Monday (9/3). The chief of the committee, Rakhmadina Noviyanti (IF/2013) said that there were some categories that were included in this competition. They were application development, game development, web design, smart devices, and writing about technological ideas. There were 53 titles of papers that were collected, such as 16 titles about application development, nine titles about game development, 12 titles about web design, five titles about smart devices, and 11 titles for the paper. From all participants, 17 teams have passed to the final after passed proposal and video selections. There were six titles about application development, two titles about game development, two titles about web design, one title about smart devices and six papers. The proposal selection involved some jurries from student members of semi autonomous organization (LSO) in Filkom. While the jurries for final presentation were lectures who were expert in each category of the competition. The assessment criteria for application category and game were: innovation, concept, execution, feasibility and proposal writing. For web design category, the criteria were: design, customer value and proposal writing. Smart device competition stressed on: creativity, innovation, works suitability with the theme, effectiveness, and finishing that can work well. In paper competition there were three things that became the consideration of assessments, there were creativity, objectivity and the writing. “It is expected that participants can always include their works in higher competition and represent Filkom. The committee will also make cooperation with LSO K-Risma for further training,” said Rakhmadina.
