Induction Programme :: 2018-19

Student Induction Program – Purpose and Concept:

The purpose for the student induction program is to help the freshers’ students to be

comfortable and able to adjust in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the

institution, help them to build bonds with the other students, faculty members and expose them to a

sense of larger purpose and self exploration.

The term induction is generally used to describe the whole process whereby the incumbents

adjust to or acclimatize to their new roles and environment. In other words, it is a well planned event

to educate the new entrants about the institution environment and connect them with the people in it.

Students Induction Program engages with the newly joined students as soon as they enter into

the college; Regular class work starts after this program. At the starting of the induction program, the

freshers will able to understand about the institutional policies, progresses, practices, culture and

values. The mentor groups will also be formed on the same day. The time during the Induction

program is also used to rectify some critical lacunas e.g. English spoken skills for those who have

deficiency in it. The program continues for 2 weeks including various activities which are part and

parcel of the institution.

Role and Responsibilities of Members:

Chairperson: To Sanction the permission and budget for conducting various

Convener: To decide the agenda of the programs and inform to all the committee

First Year Orientation Program 2018-19

FIRST YEAR ORIENTATION PROGRAMME OF YEAR (2018-19)

An orientation program was conducted to welcome the new batch of Students of B. Tech on 02nd

July

2018 at seminar Hall. Total 100 students were present at the seminar hall to attend this program.

Orientation program was started at 11.30 AM by welcoming the dignitaries on to the Dias.

At the Dias the dignitaries were

At the beginning of the session, Garlding of Lord Ganesha& Goddess Saraswati was

done followed by Lamp lighting by the dignitaries on the Dias.

After the brief introduction of Guests & words of encouragement by the dignitaries,

HOD of each dept had a brief talk about their dept goals & achievements.

About nearly 100 first year students and their parents had the opportunity to listen to

reflections of final year students.

At the end the program, the Vote of thanks was given by Mr. P.S.R.Ch.L.V.Prasad,

Associate Professor of S&H department.

After the refreshment, the new students visited the campus before going to their

respective class rooms for brief introduction of the subjects. College diaries & syllabus

were also provided to students of B.Tech.

For students, a HELP DESK was provided to provide guidance regarding

Transportation & Hostel facilities. Many students were interested & filled their

respective forms. The function was conducted in good sprit.
