Audio Engineering & Production is a one-year, three-semester program that is a combination of
classroom, hands-on instruction, location classes and guest speakers. The program includes 12 courses that are modular in design, with four courses taught per semester. Students work at their own
digital audio computer station. Students have access to reserved 24/7 studio time, over and above their regular
class hours. In addition, they may take advantage of 1500 hours of computer lab time.

1) Audio Engineering (Recording): Theory and operation of all modern recording equipment. Topics covered

Internship Placement Assistance Blue Wave Studios accepts a limited number of interns from Pacific Audio Visual Institute each semester. Second and
third semester Audio Engineering & Production students may apply for these positions, but Blue Wave accepts only
students who demonstrate reliability and enthusiasm. If selected, students gain valuable practical experience in a professional recording facility. Intern duties vary widely, but may include set-up, tear-down and assisting, studio
maintenance and organization, inventory assistance and various runner tasks. PAVI reserves the right to modify program and course content to accommodate needs of students, Instructors, and industry changes.

All fees are in Canadian dollars. There is a non-refundable $150.00 application fee. This application fee must accompany the
application.

Payment Plans
1. Advance payment, with a 5% discount: A 5% discount on tuition for total paid in full. A $500.00 deposit reserves your place.
Balance due by Orientation date. Post-dated cheques, cash or credit card are accepted. (*See Note)
2. PAVI Payment Plan: Choose to make monthly interest-free payments that fit your budget. A $500.00 deposit reserves your
place. (*See Note)
3. Student loan: Payment schedule is based on the amount and date of government disbursements. A $500.00 deposit
reserves your place.
4. Authorized agency: (band, HRSDC, etc.) Payment schedule is based on the amount and date of government disbursements.

Pacific Audio Visual Institute (PAVI) provides education to the global community by welcoming students from all over the

How to Apply
