hicieron esta semana:

…We had a great week here at the Ausangate Nursery. Here are a few comments about some interesting things the kids did this week:

Celebraciones de cumpleaños

El jueves 31 de marzo, celebraremos la primera fiesta de cum-

pleaños en El Nido y quisiéramos recordarles cómo las celebra-

mos aquí. Al final de cada mes, cada aula se junta durante la

hora de la lonchera y comparte unos bocaditos y una peque-

ña fiesta. Celebramos en conjunto a todos los niños/as del aula

que han cumplido años ese mes. Unos días antes, los padres/

madres de los niños/as que celebran cumpleaños ese mes re-

cibirán una nota con los bocaditos que pueden enviar para

compartir con el grupo. Es importante indicar que no deberán

enviar artículos personalizados, como tortas con el nombre del

niño/a u otras decoraciones de cumpleaños. Tampoco reparti-

mos dulces o sorpresas.

Por favor, tomen nota que el 31 de marzo, estaremos cele-

brando los cumpleaños de los niños que cumplen años en fe-

brero y marzo. En diciembre, celebramos los cumpleaños de

diciembre y enero.

Abriremos aula para niños y niñas de 2 años

Debido a la demanda de atención para esta edad, recibire-

mos a niños y niñas de 2 años en El Nido del Ausangate, en

nuestro local del segundo paradero de San Sebastián. Las cla-

ses empezarán el viernes 1 de abril y las matrículas serán del 14

al 18 de marzo.

Birthday Celebrations

On Thursday, March 31th, we will have our first birthday celebra-

tion here at the Nursery and we would like to remind you of

how we celebrate birthdays here. At the end of each month,

each grade gets together at their snack time and has a spe-

cial snack and a small party. They celebrate all the children in

their grade who have celebrated birthdays that month. Earlier

that week, parents of children who have birthdays that month

will receive a note about something that they can send to

share with the group. Therefore, we ask that parents not send

extra snacks on their children’s actual birthdays. We also ask

that parents not send personalized items such as birthday

cakes with the children’s names on them or other birthday

decorations.

Please note that on March 31th, we will be celebrating children

who have February and March birthdays and in December, we

celebrate those children with birthdays in December and Jan-

uary.

Two Year Olds at Ausangate Nursery

Due to popular demand, we will admit two-year-olds at the

Ausangate Nursery in the Segundo Paradero of San Sebastián

starting Friday, April 1st. Registration will take place from

March 14 - March 18.

Preschool: Miriam Aparicio y Camu Ortiz

Esta semana en Preschool observaron una dramatización realizada por las maestras, que dío la oportunidad a los niños y niñas

a definir algunas actitudes y describir acciones de autonomía e independencia. A partir de esta actividad eligieron y

asumieron una responsabilidad para realizarla todos los días en el aula. /This week Preschool observed a dramatization by the

teacher which provided children with the opportunity to define some attitudes and describe actions related to autonomy and

independence. Students then chose a responsibility to take on every day in class.

PreKinder Español: Yudy Carpio y Edurne Robles

Esta semana los niños de Pre-Kinder realizaron un juego para desarrollar la atención llamado “Cara- casa”, que consistió en

crear una cara y una casa con 7 elementos. También modelaron los números del 1 al 5 utilizando plastilina de colores./This

week the children in Pre-Kinder played a game to develop their attention skillls called “Cara-casa” in which students had to

make a face and a house using 7 elements. They also molded the numbers 1 to 5 in playdough.

Pre-Kinder Inglés: Addie Price y Morgan Scott

Los niños y niñas de Pre-Kinder aprendieron sobre los objetos con forma circular y también practicaron escribiendo sus nom-

bres./The children in Pre-Kinder studied circle shaped objects and practiced writing their names. They were able to combine

both of these things by creating name snowmen!

Kinder Español: Edurne Robles y Yudy Carpio

Los niños de Kinder esta semana han seguido indagando sobre los Derechos de la Infancia y sus responsabilidades, haciendo

hincapié en el Derecho a la Integración y al de Participación. Los animamos a visualizar el video “Deni y el derecho de Partici-

pación “ en youtube. /The children in Kinder this week continued their inquiry into the rights of children and their responsibilities

emphasizing the rights to integrate and participate. We encourage you to watch the video “Deni y el derecho de partici-

pación” on YouTube.

Kinder Inglés: Addie Price y Morgan Scott

La clase de Kinder aprendió sobre el color anaranjado esta semana mediante dibujar peces de ese color. Además, hablaron

sobre sus familias y aprendieron vocabulario importante sobre el clima./The Kinder class studied the color orange this week by

making orange fish. Additionally, they talked about their families and learned some important weather vocabulary.

Horario de Atención a Padres de Familia

En caso de que deseen tener una reunión con la profesora de

sus hijos, los siguientes son los horarios en que están disponibles

durante la semana.

Preschool: Lunes 10:45am - 11:30am

Pre-Kinder: Jueves 8:30am - 9:15am

Kinder: Jueves 10:00am - 10:45am

Políticas y manuales

Es muy importante que revisen las Políticas y Manuales de

que estos documentos regirán nuestro trabajo a lo largo del

año.

Fecha de pago de pensiones mensuales

Se les recuerda que este año la fecha de pago de las pensio-

nes es el último día hábil del mes, salvo en diciembre que se

paga el día 16. Por favor, revisar el cuadro adjunto.

Permisos para salir del Nido

Como todos ustedes saben, la principal preocupación de Au-

sangate Bilingual School, es la seguridad de nuestros niños/as,

es por ello que somos muy estrictos en temas como autoriza-

ciones de paseo y permiso en el cuaderno de comunicados o

para que otra persona ajena a la familia recoja a su hijo/a del

Nido.

Es por esta razón que debemos recordarles que es obligatorio

enviar una nota en el cuaderno de comunicados o llamar a

Coordinación e informar acerca de los cambios en la rutina de

recojo de su hijo/a, de otro modo, no lo/la dejaremos salir del

Nido hasta confirmar el permiso.

Agradeceremos tomar en cuenta esta información para evitar

molestias.

Uso de gorros y bloqueadores

Es obligatoria que nuestros niños usen gorros y bloqueadores

durante la hora en que estén expuestos al sol. Les agradecere-

mos cumplir con esta norma y conversar con sus hijos/as para

que las respeten.

Enfermedades

Hemos tenido niños y niñas del nido que han estado enfermos

esta semana. Es muy normal que los niños pequeños se enfer-

men con más frecuencia cuando comienzan a ir al nido. Sólo

les pediríamos que vigilen a sus hijos y no los envíen cuando

tengan malestar, fiebre, diarrea, o cuando es evidente que se

sienten mal. Gracias por su apoyo.

In case you wish to arrange a meeting with your child’s

teacher, the following are the times during the week that they

are available.

We remind you that the payment dates this year are for the last

business day of each month, except for December which is

due on the 16th. Please, refer to the table below:

Permission to leave the Nursery

As you know, our principal concern at Ausangate Bilingual

School is the safety of our children. As a result we are very strict

about authorizations for field trips and notes in the communica-

tion book if someone else is to pick up your child from the

Nursery.

Please remember that it is mandatory to write a note in the

communication book or call the Nursery office to let us know

about any change in student pick up. Otherwise, we will not let

the child leave until confirming permission.

Thank you for keeping this in mind to avoid any inconvenienc-

es.

Use of Hats and Sunblock

It is mandatory for students to use hats and sunblock when they

are exposed to the sun. Thank you for following this rule and

talking with your children about respecting it.

Sickness

We have had several children here at the nursery who have

been sick these past weeks. It is very normal for young children

to become sick more frequently when they begin a new child

care program. We would just request that you monitor your

children and not send them when they have fever or diarrhea

or when it is clear that they are feeling unwell. Thank you for

your understanding.
