BIMTECH offers two year full time fully residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management programmes i.e. PGDM, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Insurance Business Management) & PGDM (Retail Management). All these programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The basic eligibility criteria and fee structure for the different categories are as follows :

QUESTION- 2 What specializations are being offered in Two year Full Time PGDM & PGDM (International Business) Programmes ?

The specializations that are offered in PGDM Programme are Marketing, Finance & Banking, Human Resource and Operations & Decision Science while in PGDM (International Business) programme, specializations offered are – Marketing, Finance and Banking, Operations & Decision Science.

QUESTION- 3 What kind of accreditation/approval these programmes at BIMTECH have ?

All the four courses are approved by the regulatory authority AICTE and accredited by the highest national accreditation body, National Board of Accreditation (NBA). These are also approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for MBA equivalence. BIMTECH has been granted A+ Accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for 5 years upto May 1, 2022.

PGDM (IBM) course is also accredited by globally recognized Chartered Insurance Institute of UK (CII-UK). BIMTECH has a dual degree programme in association with CII-UK.

BIMTECH is also in the process of getting accreditation from AACSB (USA) – an internationally renowned gold standard accreditation agency.

QUESTION- 4 What is the difference between MBA & PGDM courses ?

MBA & PGDM are both Post Graduate Courses in Management. In India, only universities, be it central/state/or private, are authorized to conduct MBA courses. The autonomous institutions approved by AICTE offer PGDM. From the point of employability, there is no differentiation. PGDM courses are normally found much more flexible and hence close to the industry/recruiter’s need.

QUESTION- 5 What are different categories for admission at BIMTECH ?

BIMTECH has got two broad categories for admission. 90 percent seats in all programmes are filled through merit category (General/Minority).

For the candidates under merit category, valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT and good performance in further selection stage is must. Rest 10 percent seats are open for Corporate/NRI sponsored & NRI candidates. For these candidates, valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT is not a mandatory condition. However they have to go for other selection process and compete among their peer group. They also need to download the specified format from website appropriately, fill it up, get it signed and submit to the Institute with other documents as mentioned on our website https://bimtech.ac.in/admissions/selection-criteria/.

Additional, 27 supernumerary seats are reserved for People of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Foreign Nationals (FN)- International/ Gulf Quota/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).

QUESTION- 6 Can the final year Graduation students apply?

Yes, candidates appearing in the final year examination of graduation in 2019 can apply subject to furnishing the proof of Graduation by October31,2019. Non-fulfillment of this condition or not scoring 50% marks in Graduation, will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission without refund of the fee.

QUESTION- 7 Is there any reservation for OBC/SC/ST/Physically challenged candidates ?

As such there is no reservation for any section of the candidates. However, for achieving the goal of social inclusion and diversity, the candidates from Minorities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Zoroastrian (Parsi) and Jain) are given some additional weightage in calculation of the merit score.

QUESTION- 8 What is the minimum percentile required for admission and the criteria for preparation of merit list and selection procedure at BIMTECH for various programmes ?

The cut-off is not pre-defined. It depends upon the quality & number of applications received and varies from year to year for different courses. Moreover, score of CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT is not the sole criteria for admission. The admission is based on the overall merit score which is calculated on the basis of different parameters and weightages. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT score for further selection process of written aptitude and personal interview round.

The merit list for admission is prepared on the basis of past academic profile, CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT score as applicable for different programmes and the performance in selection process. Some additional weightage is also given to the eligible candidates on the basis of their work experience & social profile to bring diversity and inclusiveness in the selection process. * Weightage for work experience would ideally be given to a candidate only if he/she had worked in executive or supervisory role for a minimum period of one year as on 01/09/2018, in a registered company having turnover of Rs. 50 crores or more in the preceding financial year i.e. 2017-18. However, management reserves the right to relax this particular norm on the merit of the case, if the candidate is from a start-up, entrepreneurial or social organization.

** For getting regional weightage, submission of valid proof of residence is must.

# Management reserves the right to make minor changes to address diversity on gender and social parameters.

SELECTION PROCEDUREThe steps in selection for admission at BIMTECH includes:

STEP I: APPLICATION(1) Procurement of Form: Application form (common for all the programmes) is available on our website www.bimtech.ac.in.(2) Filling up the application form: Application form can be filled online followed by paying Rs. 1750/- through Credit/Debit Card.

STEP II: SELECTION PROCESSThe second stage is of Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Normally an aspirant having a certain minimum percentile (cut off) in qualifying tests such as CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT is called for further selection process at different centres opted by them. This process is conducted twice by BIMTECH. First i.e. early round, would be held tentatively after third week of December, 2018 and the second round will be conducted after second week of February, 2019.

STEP III: RESULTFinal selection list is prepared taking into account the candidate’s:

1) Past Academic Performance2) Entrance test scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT)3) Performance in Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test based on their respective weightages4) Work Experience (if applicable) 5) Other parameters, wherever applicable, as per the above mentioned table

STEP IV: ADMISSIONFee Submission:The selected candidates are to deposit the first installment of tuition fee within the given time frame as mentioned in the offer letter to ensure their admission, failing which the offer is passed on to the wait listed candidates. The fee for boarding & lodging has to be given separately at a later date.

Institute does not entertain any request for extension of the deadline for submission of fee.

STEP V: BEGINNING OF SESSIONAcademic session of all the programmes is likely to start on Saturday, June 15, 2019 (tentative).

QUESTION- 9 What is the early round of interview ? How is it helpful to the candidates ?

It is a reality that post declaration of the CAT/XAT result, all the top ranked B Schools start inviting candidates for further selection process. However, to avoid a possible overlapping of the selection process with other B-schools and also to facilitate the early selection/offer of admission, we propose to conduct an early round of WAT/PI process after the third week of December, 2018 itself which would be well before the declaration of CAT/XAT results. However, we intend to invite majority of the applicants who apply on or before 2nd Decemeber, 2018 based on their profile as judged from :

• Consistency and good past academic performance• Relevant work experience (if any) that brings value to class room learning

This early stage selection process provides a candidate an opportunity to appear for the process with relative ease.

Candidates need to update their entrance test percentiles (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT) in the online application form after the same are declared for preparation of final selection list based on merit.

The second round would be conducted tentatively after second week of February, 2019 pan India at 16 locations such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Indore, Ranchi, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Guwahati, Mumbai, Varanasi, Pune and Greater Noida.

QUESTION- 10 Is there any arrangement/assistance in getting education loan from financial institutions ?

BIMTECH has a formal tie-up with Credila Financial Services Pvt Ltd (A HDFC Ltd Company), Axis Bank and Avanse Education Loans (A DHFL group co.) for providing education loans on priority basis subject to fulfillment of their terms and documentation requirement.

BIMTECH is a reputed name in business education and almost all banks are extending loans to our admitted candidates.

However, Institute has no active role in arranging loan for applicants.

QUESTION- 11 Is there any scholarship offered at BIMTECH ?

Yes, a scholarship of Rs. 2,00,000 each is available by way of partial waiver of fee to all the admitted candidates from merit category having 85 percentile or more in CAT/XAT/GMAT tests only irrespective of the course they are admitted in.

QUESTION- 12 What are the rules for refund of fee in case of cancellation of admission ?

BIMTECH strictly follows AICTE guidelines as applicable on the date of receipt of application for refund of fee in case of admission cancellation. The present AICTE guidelines are as follows :

Note: This guideline is applicable only to the candidates admitted under merit category/ supernumerary seats. The candidates admitted under NRI/NRI Sponsored/Corporate Sponsored category would forfeit the entire fee should they decide to withdraw after admission.

QUESTION- 13 What are the residential facilities and hostel & mess fee ?

All the programmes offered at BIMTECH are residential and hence the admitted students are to compulsorily stay in the hostels of the Institute. BIMTECH is located in a sprawling, fully wired, air-conditioned, Wi-Fi residential campus in Greater Noida, on the out skirts of New Delhi, the capital city of India. The campus environment is highly conducive to academic learning. The Institute has both on & off campus hostel accommodation with similar facilities. Girl students are provided accommodation in the hostel located in campus. Rooms are provided on single or twin sharing basis depending upon the number and composition of the students admitted at the sole discretion of the management.

The current lodging and boarding charges for the hostel which is over and above the tuition fee are as follows :

Lodging (Hostel Rent) : INR 114000 per year

Boarding (Mess Charges) : INR 57600 per year

BIMTECH performs an enabling and empowering function for the students in the area of career development and placement assistance. The students are given additional inputs on soft skills, industry/company related knowledge bits & current events. Institute has arrangement with leading service providers for additional certification courses such as Six Sigma & Business Analytics which adds to the employability aspect. BIMTECH expects a very good conduct from the admitted students in academic and campus life. They are expected to observe all the rules and regulations framed from time to time by the Institute. Breach of any of these may render him/her liable for penalty under the rules and/or expulsion from the Institute.
