InSite™ Job and Production Tracking SystemBoost efficiency with insert process monitoring and audit file automation
Quickly identify production delays to help ensure SLA compliance
Establish priorities, assign work, and identify problem areas more effectively
Automate and streamline routine file management tasks
Easily locate mail pieces during inserter production
Audit File Management – Allows users
to easily manage audit files plus job
and piece-level data about each job
throughout the processing of the job,
and after the job has been
completed.
The InSite™ system integrates with all
Pitney Bowes Direct Connect inserters
via a network interface. It’s also
compatible with all Mailstream Monitor
Integrity Systems.
Simplify job tracking withdynamic, color-coded production views.
Pending Job Summary – The system
provides a list of expected jobs for
the mailroom manager, based on the
audit files in the system.
Real-Time Job Status – The display
shows the percent of a job completed,
which is clearly visible to an operator
or manager.
Sorting Job Display by Priority –
The job display can be sorted per
user preference, including first in,
first out (FIFO), service-level
agreement (SLA) impact, file name,
file size, creation time, activity, run
state and percent complete.
The InSite™ Job and Production Tracking
System offers job and production tracking
capability to help monitor and control
mail piece assembly across the entire
insert process. Key workload information
and performance feedback is provided
in real-time, as well as automatic file
management capability to help streamline
file audit and job tracking to ensure
accuracy and ease of use.
The system’s four key functional
components make it easier for mailroom
managers to run their automated
document factories:
Production Detail Display – Shows
the “big picture” of all work in
progress. Each job is color-coded to
quickly indicate status, age, and SLA
impact. Progress bars indicate job
progress and relative size. Just click
on any job to drill down to mail-piece
level data to determine the status and
control the disposition of virtually
any mail piece.
Production Target Summary –
Displays real-time performance
against targets to help you quickly
identify production shortfalls and
manage toward meeting SLA goals.
Real-Time Inserter Status – Lets you
centrally monitor and manage your
entire fleet at a glance. Just click on
a machine icon for even more details
on the state of your operation.
Production Target Summary –
A graphical display shows up-to-
the-minute production versus a
production target that can be set by
the manager. This helps the manager
know at a glance whether or not
action needs to be taken to keep
production on track.
Total Number of Pieces Available for
Processing – The system automatically
totals the number of pieces to be
processed by looking through the
expected jobs and the jobs in progress.
It identifies the total number of
pieces to be processed in each job,
what has been processed in each job
and what is left to process in each
job. It also provides totals across jobs
for each category: what is expected,
what has been processed and what is
left to process.
Save time and stay organizedwith audit file management tools. The audit file management capability
of the InSite™ system enables the user
to easily manage audit files and locate
pieces during job processing.
Automatic Job Validation – When
the audit file is placed in the input
directory, the system automatically
reads in the file to validate piece
counts and correct record format.
It then creates the necessary files
to support auditing on any one or
multiple inserters.
Account Pull – Individual pieces can
be selected based on piece ID or
sequence number and marked for
outsort in the audit file. When the
document is processed by the
inserter, the piece will automatically
be outsorted (inserter must be
equipped with a divert bin under
control of the Mailstream Monitor
Integrity System).
Job and Piece File Archive and
Retrieval – The files used in
processing a job will be condensed
and stored locally for the amount
of time determined by the customer.
The primary use for these files is to
validate a mailing date of a particular
mail piece. The system will be able
to retrieve a mail piece based on an
account number, or other field
specified when the file is indexed.
The system can be configured to
automatically archive files of a
certain age, if they are completed.
