Parabolic aluminized reflector light - PAR Moving Lights
1 Intelligent, moving PARs allow for the ability to pan and tilt the instruments
through a lighting control console. These have been generally
superseded by dedicated intelligent lighting fixtures, which use a
different light source and offer more control over the colour and shape of
the beam.

Metal-halide lamp - Uses
1 Another widespread use for such lamps is in photographic lighting and
stage lighting fixtures, where they are commonly known as MSD lamps and are generally used in 150, 250,
400, 575 and 1,200 watt ratings, especially intelligent lighting.

Stage lighting instrument - Lamp or arc source
1 High-intensity discharge lamps (or HID lamps) are now common where a very bright light output is required,
for example in large follow spots, HMI (hydrargyrum medium-arc iodide)
floods, and modern intelligent lighting|automated fixtures

Stage lighting instrument - Types
1 LED stage lights come in four main types. parabolic aluminized reflector light|PAR cans,
spotlights, striplights,[http://martin.com/product/product.asp?product=stagebar54 Product - Stagebar 54] and Intelligent lighting|moving head types. In LED PAR cans, a round printed Circuit Board
with LEDs mounted on is used in place of a PAR lamp. Moving head types can either be a bank
of LEDs mounted on a yoke or more conventional moving head lights with the bulb
replaced with an LED bank.https://store.theartofservice.com/the-intelligent-lighting-toolkit.html
Intelligent lighting
1 'Intelligent lighting' refers to stage lighting that has automated or mechanical abilities
beyond those of traditional, stationary illumination. Although the most advanced
intelligent lights can produce extraordinarily complex effects, the intelligence lies with the
programmer of the show rather than the instruments or the lighting technician|lighting operator. For this reason, intelligent lighting is
also known as 'automated lighting', 'moving lights' or 'moving heads'.

Intelligent lighting - History
1 The most recent development in intelligent lighting is digital lighting, with fixtures such as High End System's DL3. These fixtures consist of a bright LCD or DLP projector
mounted on a moving yoke, much like that of an ordinary moving head. These fixtures also contain an integrated media server,
which allows for millions of colour choices, endless libraries of gobo-like images, and
projection of images and video.

Color scroller - CYM color-mixing scrollers
1 The ColorFader system was developed to mimic the Dichroic
filter|dichroic systems used in most Intelligent lighting|moving lights,
creating smooth colour transitions

RDM (lighting) - Adoption
1 RDM was ratified in 2006. It took a while for it to be widely adopted.
There are now several mainstream lighting consoles supporting RDM as
well as a growing list of RDM “responders” such as Color scroller|
colour scrollers, dimmers, and Intelligent lighting|moving lights.
Data distribution products including wireless DMX/RDM links are now
available.https://store.theartofservice.com/the-intelligent-lighting-toolkit.html

Top hat (lighting) - City Theatrical AutoYoke
1 City Theatrical manufactues a complete assembly which essentially turns a conventional fixture into an
intelligent lighting|automated fixture. The autoyoke is a DMX512 operated
assembly which provies complete remote pan and tilt control of a fixture. The autoyoke is also
designed to control other accessories, including color changers
and iris units.https://store.theartofservice.com/the-intelligent-lighting-toolkit.html
