During his career as managing and export sales director of Oy Clausen International Ltd and Oy Clausen Export Ltd, Jouko Raita was among the pioneers in promoting the export sales of “turn-key operations” in Russia of small- and middle-sized Finnish enterprises. Clausen, which is known in Finland for techni-cal solutions of customer service and security systems for public traffic, became in Russia in 1994-96 the prime contractor in moderni-sation of ticketing halls for Russian railway stations, getting direct orders from the Rus-sian Federal Agency of Railways.
Clausen delivered the turn-key ticketing hall solutions for “Finlandski” and “Moskovski”- railway stations of the “October Railways”-company in St. Petersburg.
Vladimir Putin, at present Russia’s Prime Min-ister and Aleksei Kudrin, Minister of Finance, among others, were Russia’s official repre-sentatives at the opening of the “Moskovski”-railway station on 12.5.1996. The opening ceremony was aired live on TV with interna-tional media presence on site.
The governor of Orenburg oblast Mr. Donkovt-sev authorized Jouko Raita to work on opening connections between Orenburg and Finland. In 1997 Jouko Raita organized connections between Orenburg, Helsinki and Hamina dur-ing Donkovtsev delegation’s visit to Finland.
Mr. Jouko Raita has been appointed as Managing Director of REIM Group Oy Ltd. He started his work on 11th of August 2008 in Lappeenranta, REIM Group head office.

Mr. Suominen underlined that the choice of REIM Group as the exclusive sales coordinator of holiday houses – currently under construction – for buyers and investors from Russia was not accidental.
He pointed out that this project is unprec-
edented in scale and volume started by Mirien-sis Oy Ltd in Finnish Southern Karelia.

Hämeenlinna (in English “Häme Castle”) is the oldest city of inner Finland and it is the admin-istrative centre of Southern Finland. The area around Hameenlinna was inhabited since the iron age. Around 1280 begun on the order of the king Magnus Birgersson the erection of the castle, its central parts were completed at the end of 1400-ies.
In the 1200-ies Häme district (Tavastia) was the object of dispute between Kingdom of Swe-den and and the Grand Principality of Novgorod.
The settlement was granted the city rights in 1639 by Peter Brahe, the general governor of Finland.
The famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius was born in Hämeenlinna. He graduated from Hämeenlinna Lyceum in 1885.
Distances to other cities: Helsinki (150 km), Tampere (73 km) and Lahti (72 km).

Kanta-Hämeen Talokeskus Oy has about 160 real estate objects, the biggest part of them are lo-cated in Hämeenlinna. The personnel of Kanta-Hämeen Talokeskus Oy, 15 real es-
tate management specialists became now, after the acquisition, employees of REIM Group.
