This 9 day journey lets you experience two of South America's most vibrant cities, Rio deJaneiro and Buenos Aires. Begin your journey in Rio and experience magnificentpanoramic sights from Sugarloaf Mountain and the awe-inspiring Christ the Redeemer.You will be captivated by the cascading flows of Iguazu Falls which stretch through bothBrazilian and Argentinian territory. Finally you will explore the glamorous avenues ofBuenos Aires, take part in a tango show, experience the raw entertainment of footballculture and all the amazing historical offerings of this "Paris of the South"

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrival transfer in Rio de Janeiro

DAY 1: Rio de Janeiro

Known as the ''Cidade Maravilhosa'', or MarvellousCity, Rio never fails to amaze with its sandybeaches, carefree lifestyle and unparallelednatural beauty. As the capital of Brazil until 1960,Rio is today one of the most culturally andeconomically prominent cities in the country,receiving more tourists than any other part ofBrazil. DAY 2: Corcovado & Sugarloaf with Lunch

After an early pick up from your hotel, this tourmakes its way to the bottom of Corcovado Hill,where we ascend the mountain by vehicle.Climbing 4km through the Tijuca Forest, theworld’s largest urban National Park, we will arriveat the statue of Christ the Redeemer. After takingin the panoramic views, continue to the MaracanaStadium. We also pass the Sambadrome and theMetropolitan Cathedral, before passing throughthe bohemian neighbourhood of Lapa and itsfamous arches en-route to Copacabana. Enjoy atraditional Brazilian BBQ lunch (beverages notincluded) before visiting the famous SugarloafMountain with views across the entire city. Afterdescending the mountain, you will be dropped offat your hotel. Please note this is a small grouptour. DAY 3: Rio de Janeiro - Free Day

Today is free to enjoy the rhythm of this vibrant,bustling city. From spotting the “beautiful people”on the legendary beaches of Copacabana andIpanema, to exploring the famous favelas on atour there is always something to do in Rio.

DAY 4: Transfer to the airport for onwarddestination

DAY 4: Iguazu Arrival And Brazil Falls Tour

On arrival, please make your way through to theArrivals Hall where our representative will bewaiting for you to transfer you to your hotel.He/she will be holding a sign with your name on it.Should you not be able to locate them, pleaserefer to the front of your itinerary for emergencycontact details of our representative office.Enroute to your hotel, you will visit the Brazil sideof the falls. After arriving at the visitor centre,board one of the Park Authority’s tourist buses andenter the National Park. Equipped with panoramicwindows, the buses are designed to maximizeyour views of the falls, while the walkways andsteps provide you with great panoramic views ofthe Argentinian side of the falls. Views of theFloriana Falls, the Devil’s Gorge Canyon and theIguazu River are spectacular and are guaranteedto impress. National Park Fee included. Oncompletion of your tour you will be taken to yourhotel. Please note this is a small group tourservice and includes local english speaking guide. DAY 5: Iguazu Falls - Argentinean Side

After an early morning pick up from your hotel, wetravel to the Argentinean side of the Iguazu Falls.Beginning at the visitor’s centre, we take a ride onthe Rainforest Ecological train before exploring theupper and lower circuit footbridges. Thefootbridges, which are raised off the jungle floor,provide panoramic views from above and belowthe falls. A visit to Devil’s Gorge arguably the mostspectacular falls, is one of the day’s highlights. DAY 6: Transfer to the airport for onwarddestination

DAY 6: Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, Argentina’s elegant, historic andcosmopolitan capital, is known as the “Paris of theSouth” due to its European atmosphere withglamorous avenues lined with fashionable shopsand Parisian-style restaurants and cafes. Locatedon the western shore of the estuary of the Río dela Plata, Buenos Aires has many fascinatingneighbourhoods to explore including the colourfuland lively La Boca, home to art galleries and tangoshows; San Telmo with its restored mansions andantique stores and Recoleta, the city’s mostexclusive area. DAY 7: Highlights of Buenos Aires City Tour

You will be collected from your hotel for yourthree-hour tour visiting the most importanthighlights of the city of Buenos Aires. Discover thehistory of the Plaza de Mayo Square, the site ofArgentina’s most important historical events - seeits surroundings and the most emblematicbuildings and learn all about them. Then enjoyMayo Avenue and wonder in awe at the oldestresidential neighbourhood in Buenos Aires: SanTelmo. Live and feel the original Tango in theneighbourhood of La Boca: walk along CaminitoStreet and enjoy the Dancers and souvenir shops.See the mythical Boca Juniors soccer stadium.Contemplate the modernization of the city whilsttraveling along Puerto Madero and its exclusivedocks, full of excellent restaurants and largeoffices. Pass through the Retiro neighbourhoodand move on to see Palermo and its mostexclusive residential area before finally arriving atRecoleta. Here, discover the final resting place ofEva Peron, “Evita” and wander through RecoletaCemetery where she is to be found. DAY 7: El Querandi Tango Show & Dinner

This evening you will be collected from your hotelto experience a Tango Show with dinner. This is anintimate & passionate tango show, housed in acozy wood-panelled 19th century building with acolourful history as a meeting point for poets andstudents in the heart of Buenos Aires's historiccentre. After being abandoned in the late 1970s,the bar was restored and reopened in 1992 as ElQuerandí Tango Hall. The show is directed byClaudio Campos, with musical arrangements byAdo Falasca, and it smoothly charts the history ofArgentina's most authentic artistic expressionfrom its origins to the modern day. The dinner isbetter than many, and at just over an hour long,the show is the perfect length. The three housesingers, six dancers and four musicians put on agreat show. Dinner will be served from 8.30pmfollowed by the show commencing at 10.00pm.Please note timings are subject to change and willbe confirmed directly to you. On completion of theshow, you will be taken to your hotel. Please notethis is a small group tour. DAY 8: San Isidro & Tigre Delta Tour

Travel from the heart of Buenos Aires to the TigreDelta in a catamaran, offering one of the bestviews of the city skyline (a view that surprisinglyfew people see, even locals). You will be collectedfrom your hotel and taken to the city’s port toboard a modern catamaran which will take you tothe Tigre Delta. During the one-and-a-half-hourcruise you will be able to admire Buenos Airesfrom the Rio de la Plata (River Plate), its northernareas and the channels of the Delta, whilstenjoying refreshments on board. After the cruise,disembark at Tigre Pier and visit by vehicle PaseoVictoria, the most important neighbourhood inTigre and then the Puerto de Frutos. You will soonfind yourself in San Isidro where you will visit thetown’s historical centre and Cathedral on footwhile having a snack, and then finally you will seethe city’s northern areas and the PresidentialResidence in Olivos, before returning to the city.
