•  Situa=on:   The   GCC   boasts   one   of   the   leading   and   most   dynamic   Retail   and   Hospitality  environments  in  the  world.  Giving  a  home  to  a  large  number  of  the  world’s  leading  brands,  hotels,  airlines,  airports  and  Retail  operators.  

•  Opportunity:   Execu>ves   across   the   globe   are   looking   for   ways   to   expand   their   brands   and  companies.   The   thriving   GCC   markets   already   proved   very   succesfull   for   a   large   number   of  Western,  Eastern  and  homegrown  brands.  

•  Problem:  Execu>ves  who  are  unfamiliar  with  the  local  market  situa>on  and  culture.  This  creates  a  barrier  for  companies  looking  to  invest  and  expand  with  local  business  partners.  

•  Solu=on:  GulfRetailNews  will  provide  news  and  insights  about  the  region  by  expanding  the  reach  news   and   awereness   about   the   GCC   Retail   &   Hospitality   industry   to   the   Western   and   Eastern  businessmen  who  are  interested  in  the  opportuni>es  in  the  region.

Ac=vity                                                                                                                                                                GulfRetailNews   provides   (web   only)   news   and   insights   about   one   of   the   most   dynamic  retail  and  hospitality  regions  in  the  world.    Gathering  all  the  latest  news  ar>cles  about  the  local  markets,  wri>ng  in-­‐depth  reports  on  specific  topics  and  presen>ng  this  all  together  in  a   way   that   is   understandable   for   local   and   interna>onal   businessmen   and   Retail  professionals  on  an  easy  to  navigate  website  .    Our  aim  is  to  build  a  bridge  between  the  GCC  Retail  &  Hospitality  industry  and  the  rest  of  the  world  and  to  further  promote  this  fast  moving  and  fascina>ng  region.    We  want  to  become  partners  of  local  businesses  and  to  help  both  our  projects  to  succeed  and  to  grow  brand  awareness  and  business  for  everyone  involved.

Opportuni=es  in  the  GCC                                                                                        The  GCC  region  is  quickly  becoming  a  world  class  and  leading  des>na>on  for  tourism,  hospitality  and  retail.  The  diversifica>on  process  of  the  region’s  economy  has  lead  to  an  unparalleled  boom  in  business  and  a  thriving  Retail  and  Hospitality  Industry.    New  projects  like  the  Dubai  Expo  in  2020  and  the  Fifa  World  Cup  2022  in  Doha,  Qatar,  are  causing  a  steady  and  constant  growth  across,  and  an  increasing  awareness  about  the  region.      The  result  is  a  region  that’s  becoming  a  global  hub  for  the  Retail  and  tourism  industry.  Known  for  having  best-­‐in-­‐class  and  unparalleled  infrastructure,  malls,  airlines,  airports  and   interna>onal   ac>ve   franchise   operators.   With   brands   like   Qatar   Airways,   The  Dubai  Mall  and  Yas  Island  being  ambassadors  for  the  whole  region.

Founding  Team                                                                                                                  r  GulfRetailNews  is  being  founded  by  a  Belgian  young  entrepreneur  (23)  who  fell  in  love  with  the  dynamics,  culture  and  business  environment  of  the  GCC.      While  visi>ng   the   region   frequently,   all  work   is   currently  being  done  out  of  Belgium  supported   by   reputable   partners   and   strengthened   by   the   European   network   of  RetailDetail.

We  are  looking  for                                                                                                          This   project   has   been  made   possible   through   the   hard  work   of   all   our   start-­‐up   partners  whom  where  involved  from  the  beginning:  RetailDetail,  Nilmedia  and  UniV.    In   order   to   con>nue   our   growth   and   to   launch   this   project   locally,   we   are   looking   for   a  number  of  local  partnerships:        §  Media  &  Events  Partners:  Reputable   local  news  and  media  agencies   that  are  already  

bringing   local   news   from   the   GCC   countries   and   are   interested   to   work   together   on  expanding  the  reach  of  their  news  and  brand.  

 §  PR   Partners:   Public   rela>ons   and   Marke>ng   agencies   opera>ng   in   the   Gulf   Region    

working  for  GCC  clients  who  are  interested  in  connec>ng  with  GulfRetailNews  to  spread  their  client’s  press  releases  and  informa>on.  

 §  Commercial   Partners:   Companies   and   brands   that   are   targecng   execu>ves   and  

professionals   from   local   and   interna>onal   businesses   and   Retail   and   hospitality  enthusiasts   and   tourists   from   around   the  world,  who   are   interested   in   the   countries  and  environment  of  the  Gulf  Coopera>on  Council.
