OCEAN ART

Have a look at this famous print ‘The great wave off Kanagawa’ by Japanese artist Hokusai.

Have you seen this before?

https://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/explore/collection/work/22076/#

Many artists have depicted the ocean in many different ways, some have even painted whilst being underwater in the ocean! Have a look at

Olga Nikitina here https://blog.singulart.com/en/2019/12/18/mee

t-olga-nikitina-the-artist-who-paints-underwater/

Living by or near the coast, what is your

relationship with the ocean? Draw, paint or collage an image that defines your connection

to the sea.

It may not even be the water, it could be the

ocean breeze, the ocean sky or things you find and discover as you walk and foccisck the

shores; or connecting vegetation and creeks. Or perhaps it is to do with stories about the

ocean, or ocean research or ocean life. Whatever fits with you and your relationship

with the ocean is the best starting point to your

artwork.

“Creativity has the power to bring us all together even in the most challenging times.”

Throwback Thursday

Thursday is all about playing games that your parents played when they were kids. Below is a list of games that I can think of that I played as a kid. You can play one of these or ask Mum, Dad or whoever is at home for one of their favourites.

● Elastics. Research a new song that you could sing.

● Hopscotch ● Marbles ● Totem tennis ● Backyard cricket (or

any sport in the backyard)

● Pitch and toss ● 40-40 home ● Hide and seek

Our Journey Begins!

On behalf of Captain Maestra and the entire

crew, welcome to IKPS Airlines flight 222,

non-stop service from Inverloch to Caracas

Airport, Venezuela.

We are kicking off on our tour of Spanish

Speaking countries, by visiting the fascinating

country of Venezuela.

Download the ‘Choose your own Adventure’

page, and decide with your family which

Venezuelan adventure you’re interested in.

Maybe you’ll be keen to dance to local music,

or you could head straight to an imaginary

tropical beach. Try a sweet drink to cool

down, and explore the wonders of nature in

this fascinating South American country.

Remember you can complete just one or as

many of the activities as you like!

Then, fill in a page of your ‘Pasaporte’ you

created last week. Add the date, a picture of

the flag, and then reflect on your learnings -

you can write or draw or even add a photo!
