Dear Parents/Carers/Whanau
We are pleased to report that all our girls have settled into school very well and are managing the busy events and enjoying all the many opportunities available to them here at Prep.
Summer Sports are all underway and we are thrilled with how the girls are representing the school. Winter sport trials have also started this week, kicking off with netball. Again, we are very impressed with the girls’ attitudes during these trials. As we make the transition from summer to winter codes, we really apprectiate all the positive support from parents at games and look forward to this continued support of all students, coaches and managers. We are really grateful for the personal time that the coaches and managers contribute to all our sporting events.
Over the next two weeks, all the girls will be away on their consecutive camps at Whenua-iti. We are looking forward to the range of activities and experiences that are offered. Thank you to all the parents who are assisting with transport and joining us on the walks to Anchorage. We are keeping our fingers crossed for fine weather.
Kind regards

HARP RECITALThis week the girls went to the Cathedral in Nelson and enjoyed listening to a harp recital by Lizzie Peacock. It was certainly an instrument that most of the girls said they had never seen up close before and they were all amazed by the size and complexity of the instrument. As you can see some of the girls were given the opportunity to hold and play the smaller version. If any of the girls are interested in pursuing lessons in the harp, or if any of you are interested in joining the Cathedral Choir, we do have the contact details here at the Prep Office.
STOP PRESS!!
Grace Meehan has just attended the U15 Basketball Regionals in Westport where the Nelson team played Marlborough, Buller and West Coast. They were pretty physical games, but Nelson Girls actually won all three games. Well done Grace – great achievement!!
