NEW PROGRAMMING!

Student Track on Tuesday

IPAS unveiled a new Student Connection workshop in Spring of 2016, and we’re happy to include student programming in our schedule for this Fall’s CME. Student sessions will be held Tuesday afternoon, and session details are included in the agenda. If you have any questions regarding this session, please contact the IPAS office! Legislative Roundtables

We’re hoping to hear more from you regarding current legislative items facing PAs and how they’re impacting you, what IPAS can do to help, and help point you in the right direction to advocate on behalf of yourself and your PA colleagues. This will be an informal session, with a lot of great opportunities for questions and collaboration. More details to come!

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 17-20 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit from the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Total number of approved credits yet to be determined. No CEU credits will be offered.

MILITARY CME REGISTRATION PACKAGE

Includes registration for the Fall CME Conference and updates on professional issues throughout the year.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Purpose: The purpose of this conference is to provide current information for physician assistants, physicians, and students on various medical issues relevant to the practicing clinician.

Education Objectives: Following the conference attendees should be able to:

• Describe current methods of diagnosing commonly occurring medical conditions

• Discuss current techniques used to treat and manage commonly occurring medical conditions

• Discuss the prognosis and ramifications of many commonly occurring medical conditions

• Identify methods of improving interpersonal skills with patients

REGISTRATION MATERIALS

Registration materials can be picked up on the conference start date anytime after 7:00 a.m.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The site of the Fall CME Conference is the Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Rooms are being held for October 8-10, 2017. Please make your reservations by September 18th, to be eligible for the special IPAS Conference rate. Single/Double rates are $133.00 per night. Call 319.688.4000 to make reservations to get the IPAS group rate. You may also make your reservations online by visiting www.coralvillemarriott.com.

PARKING

Parking is available in the city lot, adjacent to the Marriott Hotel. The city does impose a fee for parking, at $8.00 per day or $1.00 per hour.

REFUNDS

Should the conference be canceled, registrants will be notified and fees will be refunded in full. All but $25 is refundable if the IPAS office is notified of your cancellation before September 28, 2017. No refunds will be made thereafter.
