Latest Updates – SCIP DB go live Oct 28th

• SCIP database ready to use (since October 28th, 2020)

• In line with latest release of IUCLID version 6.5

• Update of picklists: production in EU statement, primary article identifier types

• Changes to Candidate List Package:

o 8 substances added

o 23 substances modified (description, name, CAS-number)


Latest Updates – Validation Rules

• SSN-SCIP number should be valid

• Non-EU companies not allowed to submit SCIP notifications

• ‚SCIP notifications‘ accepted by submission portal

• Wording modified: „no need to provide [….]“ changed to:

‘The identification of the Candidate List substance is sufficient to allow safe use of the article throughout the whole life cycle including service life, disassembly and waste/recycling stage’
