Page 3: Ironstone Academyormesby.ironstoneacademy.org.uk/.../sites/5/2020/07/We…  · Web viewWe are currently on Week 12 of White Rose Maths Home Learning. This week we will be revising

Your new pirate captain has found a treasure map but they don’t know how to get the ship to the treasure and not crash onto skull rocks, get eaten by sharks or be captured by the sea monster. They have asked you to draw the route on the map and to write them instructions so they know how to get to the treasure.

Remember to use first, next, then, finally. Also try to include some directional language, e.g. around, between, next to.

Activity 3Message in a bottle

You safely steer the ship to the island and find the treasure. You find a glass bottle near the sea. Please could you write a message to your new teacher telling them all about yourself and post it to them in the glass bottle.(If you email it to Sharks or Turtles as well and we can ensure your new teacher gets it). Think about telling them if you have any brothers or sisters, if you have any pets, what you like to do in your spare time, what you are really good at. You might also like to tell them what your favourite food is. I am sure you can think of some more interesting things about yourself.
