• A unique id for a manuscript: numeric, without signification, machine and human readable, together with an ark.

• Use shelfmark to identify a given manuscript.• Build a database working as a register for all manuscripts.• Core-team: Western European libraries and researcher, medieval

manuscripts, Mediterranean and European area. Need to open to other areas, languages, type of manuscripts, etc.

• Aggregation of links, as much as possible (given by libraries and research institutions; then, harvesting).
