ISSUE 31 –10 th October, 2014 Dear Students, Parents, Caregivers and Friends of Paynesville Primary School, Congratulations to all the Grade 6 students who participated in the Junior Rotary Awards. The commitment that was shown and the care and respect they showed around the community organisations was something to feel proud of. We thank the Paynesville Kindergarten, Paynesville Library, Paynesville Childcare, Raymond Island Koala Santuary and Opal Aged Care for their support of this great program. Coolamatong Camp – Grade 3 & 4. The students who went to camp showed us how respectful, resilient, determined, and ready to accept every challenge they were faced with. Groups of 10 students rotated through challenges that included rock climbing, abseiling, raft building, making a campfire and cooking, low ropes course, geocaching and farming. Both students and staff enjoyed the camp venue and took part in freetime activities such as the giant swing, obstacle course, unicycling, billy carts,stilt walking, giant chess and a range of ball sports. Dear Students, Parents, Caregivers and

Friends of Paynesville Primary School,

Congratulations to all the Grade 6

students who participated in the Junior

Rotary Awards. The commitment that was

shown and the care and respect they

Congratulations Tom Selleck who

competed in the Regional Athletics 1500m

event and placed 2nd

. Tom has qualified to

compete in the Victorian State Primary

School Athletics Competion. A most

deserving, hard working yet humble

competitor.

Grade 1 News The theme for the junior school this term is “Fairytales” “Next week Grade 1 will be learning about 3 little billy goats gruff”. By Nicholas Meyer

Parent volunteer request. There are still a

few places available if you can help. There

is a roster on the front desk at the office

“HELP!”

Hats must be worn this term – we have a

“no hat - no play” policy at school. So if

your child does not have a school hat they

must stay indoors at snack and lunchtime.

Hats are available to purchase at the office

for $11.

after by Mr Werrett and Ms Suckling will
