I Qualifications:-

PROFESSOR/DIRECTOR

A. i). An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualifications(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and publishedwork of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

ii). A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at theUniversity/National level institutions/industries including experience of guiding candidates for research atdoctorallevel.

iii). Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediatedteaching learning process.

i Good Academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks ( or an equivalentgrade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in relevantsubject from an lndian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign Unive6ity.

ii NET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecture6(Assistant Professors) in University.

Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D Degree in compliance of theUniversity Grants Commission (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree)Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions ofNET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions inUniversities/ Colleges/lnstitutions.

Note:

Such candidates are required to attach a certificate from the conc,erned University/lnstitute indicating thatthe candidate, have been awarded Ph.D Degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission(Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009.

ln case such certificate is not found attached with the application form, the candidature shall not be

v. Without preiudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:

i) Teaching, Teaching research, and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;ii) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books and / or technical reports;

iiD Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of PG /Research Students or supervising R&Dpro,ects in industry;

iv) bemonstrated leadership In planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and/orprofessional activities; and

v) Capacity to undertak€/lead sponsored R&D consultancy and related activities.

For the post of Professor and Associate Professor, candidates are required to have a minimum score of /o0 and 300

respeclively in the API (Academic Performance indicator) based on Performan@ Based Appraisal System (PBAS)' as per

Candidates must enter the relevant API score in the Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) proforma. Each API

6. Candidates who have been awarded post graduate/Ph.D degree from Foreign University should enclose'Equivalence Certificate' issued by Association of lndian Universities (AlU), New Delhi dithout which theircandidature will not be considerad and application form will be rejected.

7. The appointment shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the University of Jammu, University GrantsCommission and the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, wherever applicable.

8. Only those candidates should apply for the posts, who fulfil the eligibility criteria on or before tha last date ofreceipt of applications.

9. The Universlty reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if circumstances so warrant,without assigning any reason thereof.

10. The number of vacancies indicated in Advertisement notice is lentative. The University reserves the right toincrease/decrease the number of posts at the time of Selection.

11. lf the number of applications received for any post is large, the University reserves its right to placereasonable limit on the total no. of candidates to be called for intervie\ry..Short listing of the applicants shall bemade on the basis of criteria to be fixed by the University before interview such as higher academicqualilications, experience, publications and other academic credentials of the candidates or by conducting awritten test. 12. ln addition to pay bands, D.A. as admissible under rules is also payable. Medical Allowance as prescribed bythe State Government for its employees is admissible to the University Employeas which, at present, is paid aia uniform rate of I 300/- p.m. besides coverage under J&K Civil Service Medical (Attendance) Rules '1990.City Compensatory Allowance and House Rent Allowance are also paid to the University employeas as is beingpaid to the J&K State Govt. Employees. Limited residential accommodation at the University Campuses iiavailable which is allotted on turn under rules.

13. lt will be open to he University to consider the names of suitable candidates who may not have applied for.

14. Applications by Govemment servants should be sent though the Administrative Authority concerned. ln the case of theUniversity TeachervEmployees, through he Registrar of their respeciive University and in the case of persons employed inthe private firms and lnstitutions through the Head of tle firm/institutions conierned. APPLICATIONS NOT ROiJTEDTHROUGH THE RESPECTIVE CHANNELS ARE LIABLE TO BE REJECTED.
