This letter contains my personal recommendation for Jason Chen. I worked with Jason from

September 13, 2012 to January 31, 2014 as a Senior Associate at STL Partners, a boutique financial

advisory firm. Jason completed projects for me that required him to complete a financial analysis of

multiple companies. He helped with the capital assets accounting and depreciation schedules, and

helped prepare the monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements. Furthermore, he assisted

with our quarterly expenditure forecasts, helped with the review of the annual budget reports, and

assisted with performing a cost variance analysis to conduct the sales, unit cost, and inventory budgets

and forecasts.

During his time at STL Partners as a Financial Analyst, Jason showed great skillfulness and

competence in completing all the projects he had been given. Jason shows great enthusiasm when

assigned a project and I have no doubt his work on future projects will be on time and with superior

quality.

In one situation, Jason helped us analyze an international internet company that our client was

interested in investing in. Jason built a complete valuation model to help us get a better understanding

of the company’s capital structure and future profitability. He also assisted with the due diligence on

the financials of potential acquisition targets.

Jason has the intellect to pinpoint the key variables of an analysis and form a robust foundation, a key

component in the advisory industry. Some of the most admirable skills Jason demonstrates consist of

his relentless drive, outstanding work ethic, and the exceptional devotion that he has for his work. I

believe that Jason displays all the characteristics that are most fundamental to succeed, therefore, I

highly recommend him.
