Fonts – Include a copy of all fonts used in the job, bothscreen and postscript fonts. Please avoid MultipleMaster and True Type fonts; they are known to causeproblems when printing to high-end imagesetters.Avoid applying bold or italic attributes to your fonts;select the specific font face instead.

Preparing Files • Check that document size is set to the actual trim size

of finished piece.• Extend bleeds to 3/16” (.1875) beyond trim.• Convert colors to separate in CMYK unless job is being

printed in spot colors.• Multi pages should be set up in a single document as

facing pages in readers’ spreads, not printers’ spreads.• Include copies of all placed artwork; be sure all files are

linked not embedded.

• All scans should be 300 dpi, CMYK mode, saved as TIFFor EPS; with LZW compression off.

• Please resize scans in Photoshop, not in layout program.• Include a hard copy proof of final files.

Collect for Output – To assure that all the elements usedwithin the document are included with your job, the col-lect for output feature in QuarkXpress should be used. Itwill collect all your artwork used in the document for you.File - Collect for Output.
