Pasta Dinner & Career Night at John Paul II Academy
Wednesday, April 20 4pm till 7pm
Seventh Grade is sponsoring a pasta dinner catered by Infusinos. Dinner includes pasta, meatballs, bread, salad, water, and dessert. Dinner will be served from 4:30-6:30. Adult (2 meatballs) $7.00 Child (1 meatball) $5.00 Please help support our seventh grade class and their trip to Washington D.C. in 2017 by sending in your RSVP to the office before April 13th. Your dinner tickets will be held at the door the night of the dinner. Last chance to pre-order a meal Monday, April 18th by 8:00am. Limited walk up meals will be available.

Spirit Week
Student Council would like to announce the fun activities planned for next week’s Spirit Week Activities: Monday, April 18th - Throwback Monday Day - Dress from a time of the past and be ready to explain what era you are and why you chose that time frame Tuesday, April 19th - Child Abuse Prevention Day or CAP Fund - You can pay a $1 and dress down and please where a blue shirt for the cause - All collected monies will go to the CAP fund which is with-in the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Thursday, April 20th - Reading buddy day and hat day - We will stop drop and read with our buddy class and enjoy some time sharing and writing stories together bring your crazy hat to share with your buddy. We will also have a religion trivia contest and the class questions will be announced in the morning. Let's have fun Go Cardinals!!!

Did you know? It takes nearly one year and over 100 people to organize, plan and run
The Black & Red Bash!! Whether you plan to attend the auction or not, we need your help. In fact, working
the auction is a great way to be part of the fun without having to dress up or sit down for the dinner.
Shifts are available for set up the day before the auction, during the auction and the day after. Everyone’s
help is needed!
Sign ups are available for a short shift, a long shift, one shift or multiple shifts. It’s very easy! We're using
VolunteerSpot to organize our volunteers.
Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
3) Sign up! It's easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot.com.

dress, please contact Lisa Schumacher and she can sign you up manually.
Auction Raffle Tickets The raffle is a major fundraising component of The Black & Red Bash, and we highly encourage all families to participate. The tickets are easy to sell - they are only $5 each, or $20 for a book of 5, which gives the buyer one ticket free! Proceeds from the raffle directly benefit our school by support-ing academic and athletic programs, providing technology and more!
Each family is encouraged to sell at least 5 books of tickets. Extra tickets are available in the school
office. Tickets stubs and money should be returned to the office as soon as possible, but no later than May
2nd. Drawing will take place at The Black & Red Bash, Saturday, May 7, 2016. Student incentive: Families selling 5 or more books of tickets will be entered to win a special dress down day for each
family member. Student Raffle winners will be pulled on Fridays, during announcements, starting April 15th. Ticket stubs and payment need to be returned by Thursdays to be entered into the Friday raffle.

Financial Aid Opportunities for 2016-2017 Private School Aid Service (PSAS): Application is available on our website under enrollment or request a paper copy
from the office. Applications need to be mailed directly to PSAS office for processing. Deadline for PSAS application is June 6/10/16 This aid is based on financial need and extenuating circumstances provided by
Sacred Heart Parish. Notification of aid will be informed by July 15th. George and Mary Kremer Foundation: Applications are able to be downloaded from our website under enrollment or
request a paper application from the office. Applications are based on financial need. Applications are due to Mrs. Schumacher by May 18th. Notification of preliminary aid by June 1- Final notice in September.
April 20th from 4 pm to 7 pm, is an Open House for
school families. This is an opportunity to see art work,
talk to teachers and socialize with other JPIIA parents.
In addition, the junior high students will be here to dis-
play and present their semester long “Career Projects”.
The classroom art projects for the Black and Red Bash
will be available to see as a sneak peek.

Mrs. Martino Mrs. Martino has volunteered at our school since 1973 helping with the children's masses. We are very grateful for her assistance throughout the years. Mrs. Martino will be retiring from this school duty this year. Join us all in thanking her. Please send any well wishes, notes, emails or cards to the office or my email ([email protected]) by May 18. We are putting together a gratitude book for her. In addition, join us in thanking her at the May 18th children's mass at 7:45 am. There will be a small reception to follow in Haban Hall after mass.

Moms please come and celebrate Mother's Day with your
children at JPIIA.

Drop off until 8:20 am
Please enjoys some muffins, juice and coffee in the gym and talk with
fellow JPIIA moms at drop off and then head to your child's class to
spend time with them. The morning will end at 8:20 am.

teers how much we appreciate you.
