POSITION SUMMARY:

The successful applicant will be a member of the Turning Point Décisif Program (Mental Health, Addictions and Community Support Services). The purpose of the position is to assist the Project Coordinator in a one-year project (SIP-CAFÉ – Social Integration Program and Community Action for Equity which is a mental health and addiction consumer/survivor initiative). The project will consist of the expansion of the actual work force of the Between Friends Coffee/Thrift Shop to include mental health and addiction consumers/survivors.

QUALIFICATIONS:! Successful completion of a grade 12! Demonstrated willingness to re-entering the work force! Prior experience working in a coffee shop or a store an asset! Basic knowledge of the 3Rs of recycling

Bilingualism an asset

Please note this is a mental health consumer/survivor initiative. To qualify for this position the candidate has had or has to have a diagnosis of a serious mental illness or is a present/past mental health and/or addiction consumer/survivor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a college or university degree in one of the following areas:

Marketing, Economic Development, Business or Communications(Other educational programs may be considered at the discretion of the hiring committee)Applicant should be bilingualMust be a graduate of a northern Ontario high schoolMust be under the age of 30Above average communication skillsAdvanced computer knowledgeUnderstanding of the NSFC
