Taekwondo Championship

October 7th

2017 Markham Pan Am Centre

Dear Masters, Instructors and Taekwondo Practitioners;

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 18th annual Jung Ko Canadian Classic Taekwondo Championship to

be held on October 7th, 2017. We hope all coaches and masters will support us again this year by adhering to our

guidelines laid out in this package. I believe working collaboratively we can ensure this tournament is a success and

both you and your students will end the day feeling accomplished and happy.

This event is a fully sanctioned Ontario Taekwondo Association (“OTA”) event and as such, World Taekwondo

Federation (“WTF”) competition rules will be in effect for all black belt divisions and OTA competition rules for all color

belt divisions. Note that all competitors must be current 2017 members of the OTA. Please do not include OTA

registrations with your tournament registrations; they must be mailed to the OTA headquarters. Those not registered

will be required to do so before competing.

This is a PRE-REGISTERED tournament. Coaches will be required to pre-register their teams either by mail or

online. Pre-registration cost: $70 for one division in sparring and/or patterns.

Registration Deadline is Friday September 30th , 2017. All athletes registered by this time will receive an e-ticket

that can be printed out or displayed on a smartphone, regardless if they did online or paper registration. These

tickets can be used in the express check-in line on the day of the tournament. Please inform your students to

bring their tickets so they can avoid the manual line.

WE HIGHLY SUGGEST EARLY REGISTRATION. WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY REGISTRATIONS AT

THE DOOR!

As we believe in encouraging all our competitors for their efforts, every athlete will be a winner and have a chance to

stand on the podium. Therefore you can feel relieved knowing that all your students will enjoy the day and leave

feeling accomplished and happy. We are sure that with the support of Masters and Coaches, we are sure this will be

one of the best Canadian Classic’s ever. Should you have any questions or concern, do not hesitate to contact me at

the number listed below, or via e-mail.

Tel: (905) 886-7753
