Rakhine state• 402 000 people including 120 000

• In northern Rakhine, 90% of the population suffer from malnutrition
Natural Disasters• Myanmar is one of the most disaster
prone countries in Asia.• The most common disasters are cyclones,
storms, floods, landslides, earthquakes, tsunamis, drought and fire.
Kachin and Shan States• 104 000 people including 87 000 IDPs in
Kachin and 11 000 IDPs in Shan need humanitarian assistance due to armed conflict
