KE-36 ELEVATING UNIT

The KE-35 elevating accessory is de- signed for use on the Tree knee type milling machines to provide rapid ver- tical knee movement which results in faster set-up time and less operator fatigue. This unit is available for use on the Tree 2UV, 2UVR, 2UVR-C, 2VG and 2VG-C milling machines. Traverse is 35 inches per minute.

HA-76 HORIZONTAL MILLING ATTACHMENT

The HA-75 horizontal milling attach- ment adds horizontal milling capacity to the Tree 2UV and 2UVR milling ma- chines. It also enables the use of the same automatic collet closer arrange- ments used on the mills themselves. The HA-75 accommodates Shell Mill Adapters, Peterson Arbors, and all other standard Tree 2UV and 2UVR holding accessories. The attachment rotates 360" and is graduated for op- erator convenience. A spiral beveled gear from the machine spindle drives the %" capacity attachment.

TREE TWO SPEED VISE Two speed differential mechanism permits a tre- mendous increase in gripping torque without sacri- ficing speed of opening and closing. The operating screw has two threads of different pitch giving high speed opening and closing- y2" per revolution. Low speed of 1/10" per revolution engages when jaws contact the work piece. This fine pitch gives great holding power without hammering on the handle.

TREE RISER In order to achieve greater vertical capacity Tree milling machines (2UV, 2UVR and 2VG) can be equipped with riser attachments as shown at right. These risers are built with characteristic Tree ac- curacy and ruggedness and can be used without ap- preciable loss of milling accuracy. !j" riser is illus- trated. 10" riser is also available.

ELLIS PRECISION DIVIDING HEAD Plain or double swlvel

The floating index plate, a valuable feature of the Ellis Model C dividing head, permits rotation of the index plate with the spiridle and workpiece locked in position. It is a time-saver in locating the starting point on a pre-set workpiece and in relocating a workpiece held in the dividing head.

VERNAC

The Vernac is a direct reading optical measuring instrument for indicating longitudinal or transverse position of the table of Tree milling machines. Readings from a precision scale affixed to the machine table are transmitted through a 22-power lens system and projected onto an illuminated direct- reading dial. Readings projected from the scale to the dial are in .025" inter- vals. Fine adjustment of the direct- reading dial, by means of a double spiral reticle, provides a further meas- urement refinement on the order of .0001". All readings are complete within the dial area. No reference to an outside pointer is required. Both plain (stationary instrument) and zero adjusting (movable instrument) Vernac I models are available, as well as the new Vernac II.

WAY COVERS To protect Tree mills from chips and dirt, way covers can be furnished as shown. These covers keep chips, dirt and coolant from critical surfaces.

FLOOD COOLANT SVSTEM Consists of pump, tank, piping to nozzle and return to tank. Includes electrical with starter mounted on mill and twist lock connection with cord to pump.

TAPER BORING TOOL TB-4 Greater versatility for all milling machines, jig borers and boring bars is now possible with this revolution- ary boring tool. Automatic feed and swivel head permit taper boring and facing as well as straight boring and straight tapered outside turning without the use of special tools. All parts are hardened and ground. Also available is a back taper boring tool attachment for back taper boring small holes.

OFFSET BORING HEAD This is a versatile unit adaptable to milling machines of all types, universal milling heads, boring and jig boring machines, automatic screw machines, turret or engine lathes, and special purpose tools. Tree design and construction assures rigidity, capacity and accuracy.

PETERSON FLUSH ARBOR By using Peterson flush arbors especially designed for Tree vertical mills you are now able to do end milling with side milling cutters. It is now possible to adapt side milling, convex, concave and angular cutters flush to Peterson flush arbors adding tre- mendous versatility to Tree vertical milling machines. Cutters are key driven and held in position by the ' use of a half-split tapered bushing and a flush tight- ening screw, which avoids the nut protruding as ordinarily found on stub arbors.

END MILL ADAPTER FOR 2UVR Enables using 5'' or 1'' diameter shank tooling in 3/4" capacity spindle.

TREE INNER-MIL The Tree Inner-Mil is a right angle attachment that clamps onto the quill of the Tree mid. A 4" spindle in a narrow housing, operating at right angles to the milling head spindle, solves many expensive prob- lems that cannot' be handled in any other way. Ball bearing spindle, gears and arbors are hardened to maintain accuracy and long life.
