Happy Ganesha Chaturthi Vakratunda mahakaaya suryakoti samaprabha Nirvighnam kuru me

deva sarvakaaryesu sarvadaa Here sharing celebrations of Ganesha Chaturthi at my home We

always believe in Eco-Ganesha celebrations and celebrate every festival keeping in mind that our

environment should not get polluted in any way while making celebrations so this year I made

Ganesha ji's idol with atta n used two kali mirch's (black peppers) as eyes of Ganesha ji and

applied a tikka of haldi and made swastik with haldi on plate as haldi is considered to most

auspicious for celebrations n its pure and also eco-friendly. For decorations, I used my old

dupatta so as to keep it simple yet elegant and did not used any lightings or other decorative

material which is made from plastic and can harm our environment. For immersion, we will just

immerse the idol in a mug and disperse it in our nearby park so that it goes to our environment

and little ants or sparrows can have them as their food. For Bhog, I made aloo cranberry

modaks for Ganesha ji's and offered my prayers n my wishes n some fruits and I just hope that

Ganesha ji may fulfill my and my family wishes and may bring harmony n good luck n prosperityto our family.

AEGON Religare Life Insurance The most awaited day began , the day of blessings , worship

and a day to start something important and new in my life with name of LORD GANESHA . Its

happen to be the happiest day of every year . I adore LORD GANESHA with my Lil’ Son, who

also cherishes this moment the most . Since he so interested in worships that I do , he decided

to be a good hand for me . So I did it very eco-friendly with my son . For a pray to my LORD

GANESHA we planned to creat an ECO - FRIENDLY idol. I did it with MULTANI MITTI,

NEWS PAPER PASTE n water only at my home with my sweet little hands of my Lil’ son, Who

applied his art mathematics to build it up N we finally meant to get a proper idol . . N this is

Totally ECO FRIENDLY n will cause no harm to our environment. This time , I made this

GREEN MODAK "exclusively" for the love of GANESHA .In this way with d help of my lil son I

made this small n cute ,better than big and harmful coz its my emotion which is Big

Green is life and it breathes even if we don’t see or feel it.Being eco-friendly is as much

important as being human. It would be an honorable pray if we do it so eco-friendly with LORD

GANESHA . And must thank him for giving us this GREEN LIFE. I would want Ganesha to bless

us with the feeling of “fear from God and love for green” so that we do think million times

before destroying green and start loving them from the day we plant them. May Lord Ganesha

bestow us with the wisdom that we can be friends with green too as we are, with the other

living beings on the planet so that if we think of destroying them, we would feel the pain and

refrain from doing so. When GREEN SURVIVES , WE SURVIVES TOO

#KeepTheFaith In south India, Most commonly We people celebrate Ganesh chathurthi (

Vinayagar Chathurthi) by worshiping the pictures of Lord Ganesha in our homes rather than

placing idols, instead we visit temples on this special occasion to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha

( Vinayagar)Also preparing Sundal, Appam and kozhukattai ( favorite recipes of Lord Ganesha)

This is my 1st ganesh festival..bcoz i just shifted Nagpur form Lucknow...m enjoying a

lot..Ganesh Festival is one of the main festivals celebrated blissfully and joyfully all over India

...keeping away from plaster of Paris in the making of the Lord Ganesh idols should be taken to

the villages also for clay ganesha...“Let us offer our worship to idols made of natural clay and

seek the Lord's blessings without polluting the environment,”Natural products can be used to

make the idol such as unbaked clay, coconut, paint with natural colours, etc.Huge idols also

consume more clay or POP for its making, adding more waste to environment.so limit the size

n numbers..Switch on decorative lights during the “aarti” or “pooja” and evenings only when

necessary. Replace traditional bulbs such as incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent lights

(CFL).happy Ganesh Festival!!! #KeepTheFaith

#KeepTheFaith #Contest #GaneshChaturthi “Our Mother Earth Is Our True Treasure Save

Earth Save Life”

For me Ganesha festival means the celebrations of our rich Indian culture with great gusto.

It gives the platform to young generation of India (children) to show of their hidden talent & get

Familiar with our culture. My idea of this year to celebrate ganesha festival is Go Green

Ganesha to save our mother earth. This is my favourite go green clay Ganesha with real

braches of trees(branches of custard apple ect.) of my home garden I used green theme &

instead of thermocol & other harmful material. My Ganesha loves to sit below the tress who

says Trees are our best friends.

In this way by singing a song of Ganesha, “Sendur Lal Chadha Achha Gajmukhko dondil lal biraje

sut Gauri hark o” in a standard sound not so loudly. Without sound po llution.

My wish is “May this Ganesha brings bundle of joy in your life n quench your desires which u

planned, open a new horizon for u & save our mother earth from natural calamity”.

Being a school teacher I always inspired my students to travel on the path of Eco-friendly way

to save our mother earth so use Clay, Paper, Shadu idols which are eco-friendly to save our

mother earth. No plaster of paris, thermocol. Spread the seeds of eco-friendly way in the minds

of young India (my school students). Being a responsible citizen of India I have to drive my

vechile of life soomthly along with my school children without any harm. I will encourage my

neighbours & relative too to be Eco-friendly. I love Green Theme so I used my home garden

twigs of trees. Ganapati Bappa Morya Mangal Murti Morya. AEGON Religare Life Insurance

My Lil' GANESHA with our GANESHA

Just before 2-3 days, My lil' son became adamant on buying a small idol of Lord Ganesha. We

only realized later what his sweet intentions were when he gifted that to us on Ganesha

chaturthi with a beautiful & witty smile. We knew this was the moment our source of luck

entered into his life too, through his first-time awareness for Lord Ganesha. So on this

GANESHA CHATURTHI me n my son made ECO FRIENDLY GANESHA This lucky token

spills the beans of motivation in our lives and makes us believe that nothing can go wrong when

the intentions are right! Happy Ganesha chaturthi to all!"

#Contest # Ganesh Chathurthi "Eka Thanthaaya vidmahe, vakrathundaaya deemahe thanno

thanthi prajothayaath " We celebrated Vinayaka chathurthi in a grand manner as Vinayaka is our

ISHTA DEIVAM. Initially we wanted to make clay vinayaka but clay when immersed in water

settle at the bottom blocking the natural springs in water bodies. so we decided to make

vinayaka in such a way that when immersed it should become food to fishes and worms in the

water. so with rice flour, multi grain atta, maida flour, turmeric mixed with little milk and water

we made vinayaka idol. we offered modaks made of bengalgram, coconut jaggery withi elaichi

and topping with rice flour. this sweet modak. with urad dhal, creen chilli, ginger, salt and

asafoetida, cuury leaves we made salt modaks. multi grain vada, milk kheer with aval added.and

raw rice idlys, all available fruits and coconut, betal leaves and nut, colourful flowers, tulsi leaves

and erukka maalai and aruham pull we invoked vinayaka to our sweet home. pandits chanted

manthras and we , the singers of our family sang so many ganesh bhajans and the environment is

full of positive energy which lasted for so many hours.

#KeepTheFaith #Contest #GaneshChaturthi My Friend . Philosopher . Guide . The one entity

who has been with me through my happy times, more through the tough times, times when I

thought my legs would give up and not move one more step. Times when I felt lonely. He came

into my life 14 years ago one fine day. I looked at his beautiful face and immediately felt a bond,

almost brotherly, more than a God, and it's remained that way till date and shall remain so till

my last day. I know nothing about the rituals, how to perform a 'puja', but I know that he has

been there for me, silently providing me with the strength I need to face the daily challenges.

And I worship him and thank him in my humble way every year for being by my side. Wish you

all a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi and I pray for all your well being and happiness, for each one

of you, near and far, those who like me, those who don't, you all have been kept in my prayers

and I am sure my 'Gannu Bhai' [yes, that's what I lovingly call him :)] will bless all of you with

never ending good fortune AEGON Religare Life Insurance

Ganesh Festival is one of the main festivals celebrated blissfully and joyfully all over India. Lord

Ganesha elephant headed god is believed to be God of power and wisdom. In India, people

worship Ganesh before initiating any work. Ganesh Festival is birthday of Lord Ganesh .

Everybody loves to decorate Ganesh idols beautifully and celebrate Ganesh festival with great

zeal. But the most serious impact of the Ganesh festival on environment is due to the

immersion of idols. As going green is the new mantra, say no to idols made of chemical, Plaster

of paris, clay, plastic, thermocol (polystyrene). Opt for natural, biodegradable material so that

after immersions (visarjan) it does not pollute water and surroundings. Natural products can be

used to make the idol such as unbaked clay, coconut, paint with natural colours, etc. AEGON

#Keepthefaith this ganesh festival we bought a clay ganpati only and we hsve used all decorative

material which can be resused again and again. for symbolic immersion we just immerse in tub

outside our house and let it get dissolved and then we use it plant the water or add it to

garden. This is how I avoid wastage and my festival mood is always fresh:)

Festivals are celebrated to bring prosperity and joy in the family. If all of us focus on the real

feelings of the festival rather than pomp and show we can celebrate a eco friendly festivals. We

ask for well being of everyone from ganesha ji and then how can we forget our mother earth

and nature due to which we are alive. Dont use plastic or thermocols for pandals, dont

decorate ganpati with non bio degradable material (best is use pure mud and do not paint) and

avoid loud music. These are simple ways for a happy present and future for all of us. Something

special I do is distribute ganeshaji's favourite ladoos to children and

poor.#KeepTheFaith #Contest #GaneshChaturthi

I am a great environment Lover and proudly celebrates Ganeshotsav since last seven years in

EcoFriendly way as far as possible. This year my celebration was totally eco-friendly.

We brouht Bappa for one and half days at my home. The moorti(idol) was made from

ShaadooMati. The ecoFriendly idol was a feet tall and beautiful.I ensured it didnt use chemical

colours. The dyes that were used to colour the idol were natural and ecofriendly.

My decoration was completely EcoFriendly.I used my own green plants and some green leaves

and parts of plants bought frm market.Reusable electric lights were also used but i use them

since last few years for other festivals like diwali,Navratra etc.too.

Finally i did visarjan of my Bappa into an artificial lake created by BMC in Malad(e) at Ramleela

maidan.

I also wrote a blog article in my weekly column in Gujarati newspaper Janmabhoomi Pravasi on

last Sunday,24-Aug-2014 encouraging my readers to celebrate the festival in most ecoFriendlyway possible..
