Kristina Pulcini Ballet Academy Summer Session For Preschool aged children (potty trained) we offer a July session with a once weekly 45- minute Preschool Creative Movement class. Our preschool classes introduce ballet through play-based learning. We learn ballet steps while imagining we’re growing flowers, fairies, princesses going to the ball, or leaping over giant castles, and we use props such as tutus, tiaras, butterfly wings, princess wands, special stuffed animal friends, flowers and ribbons to help engage the dancers’ imagination. For dancers entering Kindergarten we offer a July session with a once weekly one-hour Pre-Ballet class. Dancers at this age love to engage their imaginations while learning the more advanced ballet steps they’re developmentally ready to learn. Pre-Ballet class is perfect for Kindergarten aged dancers – fast paced, fun, creative and playful. For dancers entering first through 6 th grade, we offer 1.5-hour once weekly ballet workshops, and these dancers also perform a dance they learn during summer at KP Ballet’s exciting end-of-program Summer Showcase Performance at the Upper Merion Middle School on Saturday, August 10 th . The ballet workshops include ballet class, crafts, an introduction to modern dance, and dancers learn and rehearse a ballet dance for their end-of-program Showcase Performance. KP Ballet supplies all costumes for the Summer Showcase performance. The all-inclusive tuition includes the ballet program, all registration, costume & performance fees, complimentary tickets to the Summer Showcase performance, and a link to a professionally filmed video of the Showcase Performance. Dancers should register for the ballet level they will be in 2019-2020. KP Ballet is directed by Kristina Pulcini, a former Professional Ballerina and Youth America Grand Prix Gold and Silver Medalist, who draws from her extensive performing experiences at Boston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, and Staatsballett Berlin. Kristina is passionate about offering a ballet program that’s truly professional, but more importantly she’s passionate about creating a fun and happy ballet experience for every dancer, in a safe and caring studio.
