Intertextual Referencing:Even before we see Gaga herself the introducing credits read ‘ starring Lady Gaga and Beyonce’.The yellow text card writing with the red drop shadow references an old film Jackie Brown.

Intertextual Referencing:Gaga addresses Beyonce as ‘Honey Bee’ before they begin to poison those in the diner. Honey Bee is the nickname given to one of the two robbers in the famous diner scene in Pulp Fiction.

Intertextual Referencing:One of the more straight forward references in the video are made with the ‘Pussy Wagon’ that Lady Gaga and Beyonce drive. This is the original car seen in Kill Bill.

Within the video Gaga also make a reference to the stereotypical image of the ‘perfect housewife’. This is an image that was portrayed heavily in 1950’s pop culture.

Gaga also uses products such as Wonderbread to reference a time period.

The glasses that Beyonce wears in the video first reference Gaga as she wore them in previous videos and also the character Minnie Mouse.
