The Haagse Kap is a replica of a 19th-century gaslight, with a square vent on the top and a flame-shaped ornament on top. The characteristic feature of this historic lantern is its streamlined contours.

It is a typical masthead fitting that, due to its dimensions and image, is mostly used in the Netherlands as street lighting.
