On January 5, 2011, Penny quit his job. Bank of America’s Corporate

Security filed false bomb charges against Penny. After beating the charges, Penny leaked emails

proving rampant corruption and fraud in the force-placed insurance industry.

This caught Penny up in a variety of legislation and regulations from the New York Department of

Financial Services, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, State Attorneys General Coalition,

Federal Housing Finance Agency, and multiple class action lawsuits.

On December 6, 2014, Penny was jailed by the Mesa Superior Court after a default civil defamation

judgment in case CV2014-093104 for naming an executive in his leak.
