CABINET CONSTRUCTION

Face Frames: All face frames are solid hardwood with mortise and tenon joints. Frames are glued and nailed, then sanded to a uniform 3/4" thickness.

Finish: Hardwood solids and veneers pass through the following 9-step finish process: Machine sanding, hand sanding, spraying with a penetrating wood stain, sealing, curing in a finishing oven, sealer sanding, coating with adurable top coat, drying in a finishing oven, and final qualityinspection.

Drawers: All drawers feature a four-sided box made from1/2" particleboard or plywood finished with melamine-coat-ed laminate. The drawer bottom is 1/8" hardboard or ply-wood finished with a matching melamine-coated laminate.Our standard drawers measure 19" long overall. The frontsand backs of Leedo drawers are rabbet jointed, glued, andnailed to the drawer sides with 12 galvanized steel staples.The drawer bottom anchored in place by the epoxy-coatedsteel drawer runners screwed to each side. Because wescrew into the bottom of our drawers rather than the sides,the screws are guaranteed not to click or bind as a drawerrolls in and out of a Leedo cabinet. All drawers are installedwith self-adjusting mounting brackets.

Hinges: Leedo offers three styles of self-closing hinges: • European, fully-concealed hinges feature adjustment

screws for easy six-way adjustment and open 110degrees.

• Youngdale-style knife hinges open 180 degrees.• Wrap-around barrel hinges are mounted on front of

the face frame and wrap around the frame. These hinges open 180 degrees. All Leedo hinges have a lifetime guarantee. Not all hinge styles are available on all door styles.

Sides, Tops, Bottoms and Shelves: All cabinet sides, tops, and bottoms, are 1/2" particleboard or plywood withmelamine-coated laminate. Tops and bottoms are secured tosides and face frames in a dado joint. Shelf edges are fin-ished with matching PVC edge banding. All shelves areadjustable. Wall cabinets with center mullions feature shelfsupports at the center mullion. 3/4” shelves are optional.

Backs: Back panels are 1/8" hardboard or plywood with amelamine-coated laminate finish. The back panel is recessedinto a rabbet joint in the cabinet end panels. A 1/2" nail stripis applied at the top and bottom of the cabinet resting onthe hardboard. We then staple the nail strips to the back ofthe cabinet using a 1 1/8" staple through the nail strip whichfirmly attaches the back into the hang rails. The back is thenstapled to the end panel. Finally, a 1/8" hot melt bead isapplied around the perimeter of the back, firmly securingthe cabinet.

Toe Kick: Toe kicks are 1/2" particleboard or plywoodnailed through the face into blocking fastened to the sidepanels. A decorative 1/8" overlay provides a finished appearance.

Interior finish: White and bisque cabinets have white,melamine-coated laminate interiors. All other cabinets feature natural maple, melamine-coated laminate interiors.
