Thinking Day—February 22

Thinking Day is a time when Girl Scouts and Girl Guides

around the world participate in activitiesthat celebrate being a member of

a worldwide organization. It is a time to learn about our

sister members in other countries.

As we celebrate the dawn of a new millennium, memberassociations of the World Association of Girl Guides and GirlScouts (WAGGGS) also celebrate with pride their successes overthe past century. World Thinking Day gives us the opportunity tohonor the vision of the World Chief Guide, Olave Baden-Powell,by extending our thoughts to fellow Girl Guides/Girl Scouts allover the world. Lord Baden-Powell started the Boy Scout move-ment, and his sister Agnes Powell started the Girl Guides. Theweb site for WAGGGS is on page 83.
