Long term Planning

Long Term Planning is being used for simulation purposed of the planning scenario.

Create Planning Secenario, Used the transaction codes MS31

Filled the time duration for which you want to do the planning.

Filled up the BOM selection ID, this is being used for LTP for individuals long Term BOm Planing

Click on the plant

Add the plant for which the simulation planning is to be done

Save it , now click on the Planned Independent requirement Tab.

Add the required version for which you want to do the planning.

Now releases the planning scenario

Click on “ ”

When you save and released it sysyetm will create the planning file enteries

In long term planning we have to create own version of planning, which are being only used for

These planning Secenario could be deleted also by using the reansaction

For LTP there is being separate planning file enteries

The long term planning file contains all the material which are being present in the operative

planning.

Used the transaction MS64 to copy the requirement.Used the transaction MS65 for viewing the

Requirement for the Secenario

Now used the Transaction MS01, for Simulative MRP running for plant wise.

Used the transaction MS04 for LTP results

In system you could also get simulative planned order. Used the transaction code MS11

Ued the Transaction MS23 to delete the plaining Secenario.MSAb used as Background for

deleting the Planing Secenario.For checking the planning secenario used the transaction

MS32,and MS22 for viewing it

During long term planning no activities is being done in operative planning.

Create Planned Independent requirement Version

Various version of the independent requirement is being created .The system used various

version to compare the result

The aim of the long term planning is to check and adjust the planning result created by using

the simulative version of the demand programme. Once you checked the result, the simulative

version may be changed to operative version. It means that version planned in simulative

version is either component operative version or they can entirely replace them within the

specified period.

Customization: in Demand management various inactive version no has to be created. We can

either create a new version of the planned independent requirement or can copy the existing

the planned independent requirement (From operative planning to a simulative version no)
