The ERCAN AIRPORT (IATA: ECN) provides daily con-nections to most airports in Europe and the Middle East.The following airlines offer daily scheduled flights:

Cyprus has a far-reaching trade tradition. Already in the Bronze Age, tons of copper were exported; later, the island (and above all the immeasurably rich city of Fa-magusta) served the crusaders and later the Venetians as an important trading base.

Leonardo da Vinci is said to have bought an ‚Lefkara‘ altar cloth from Cyprus for the Cathedral of Milan. The-se precious top-notch workpieces are still traditionally hand-crafted. Good quality can be found in the mar-ket hall BANDABULYA in Nicosia in the BEHİCE BİRAN HANDICRAFT CENTRE.

Gold forged products are also favourable for tax rea-sons. In Girne, Nicosia and Famagusta there is a large selection of good jewellers.

Life Balance

In recent years North Cyprus has developed into a cen-tre for MEDICAL-TOURSIM. Among other things, this has to do with the fact that there is a steadily develop-ing, high-quality availability of private hospitals, like the CYPRUS LIFE HOSPITAL in Nicosia.

Good reasons for treatment in Northern Cyprus:

• The doctors are very well trained, many of them abroad or in one of the excellent private universities of Northern Cyprus.

• There is a wide variety of pleasant hotels and ac-commodation in different categories for the dura-tion of a medical treatment.

• Cosmetic treatments and procedures are more common in southern countries than in Central and Northern Europe, this means more experience, but the costs are still far below the European level.
