Built to Oyster Marines exacting standards, Sotto Vento is an excellent Oyster 655 offering total comfort under sail.

Sotto Vento has an aluminium rig with in-mast furling. Twin helms which are separate from the main cockpit allow guests to relax whilst underway without being disturbed. The cockpit has a beautiful solid teak table incorporating a refrigerated cooler providing comfortable dining on deck.

Sotto Vento is superbly fitted out in teak with a light and airy saloon offering comfort and luxury with elegant Alcantara upholstery. Enjoy listening to music from the surround sound system, which has an iPod connection or watch a film on the plasma screen TV. Music can also be enjoyed in the cockpit whilst on deck, iPod connections are available throughout the yacht.

The beautifully crafted master cabin, aft, has a sumptuous double berth, with a seating area, flat screen TV and ladder, allowing private access to the aft deck. The aft cabin has an en-suite shower and head.

The starboard forward cabin offers a comfortable double berth with en-suite shower and head. It also features a plasma screen TV allowing you to relax whilst enjoying a film. Each cabin is fitted out to the highest standard.

Christopher Richards & Hazel Wheatley

Chris and Hazel both have a passion for sailing and taking care of their guests. They will ensure you are well looked after and enjoy your time on-board Sotto Vento. Originally from Poole, England, Chris has grown up racing and cruising sailing boats, competing at national level in a wide variety of classes. After graduating from Cardiff University he joined the Superyacht industry in 2003, progressing from Deckhand to Mate working on prestigious sailing yachts and gaining a wide experience

in worldwide cruising including the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Pacific. For the last three years he has enjoyed being a Captain and his extensive experience ensures a calm, enjoyable atmosphere onboard whilst encouraging guests to join in sailing. He enjoys a variety of water sports in his spare time and is happy to take you wakeboarding, snorkelling or organise a scuba diving trip.

Hazel grew up sailing on her parents’ boat and racing yachts. She has taken part in many regattas throughout the UK and the Sydney to Hobart race, she has also gained lots of cruising experience along the way. Hazel has an affinity to Oyster Yachts, having worked on-board them for the last three years. Hazel trained at the Grange Cookery School and has a passion for cooking. She prepares a variety of dishes with fresh local ingredients and will tailor her cooking to suite your tastes. Having caught lots of fish in Mexico, she is always happy to cook any fish you catch on-board. She prides herself on providing food and service of the finest quality.
