We con)nue to lay plans for Sacred Heart

Parish Hall to be restored. Some addi)onal

drainage work will soon be done to help pre-

vent future flooding. Pain)ng and flooring

work will soon con)nue. We have decided to

go with carpet once again as this will help as a sound barrier

as well as give the hall a more comfortable feel. The carpet

will be carpet squares so that if minor flooding occurs we can

simply clean the carpet as we have in the past or replace any

damaged squares. We have been advised that in major flood-

ing it would make no difference if it is carpeted or )led, com-

plete floor replacement would be required.

The confessional will be restored and the aisle from the eleva-

tor to the confessional and hall will be re-carpeted. A wall will

be constructed blocking the chapel area crea)ng a hallway

and space for confessions. As stated before, the chapel can-

not be repaired due to the cost of needed environmental re-

pairs.

If all goes as planned we hope to be back in opera)on by Oc-

tober. Please keep this project in your prayers.
