•  All  her  personal  possessions,  including  her  wallet  and  ID  were  discovered  in  her  dorm  room  at  Middlebury  College.

7:45  AM  Roommate  leaves    and    Lynne  is  sNll  Sleeping  

12:30  PM  Lynne  is  seen  at  the  Bus  Stop  eaNng  dried  prunes  from  the  local  health  

food  store.  Says  she  is  going  to  New  York  but  the  

bus  has  already  leU.  She  walks  back  to  campus.  

12:45  PM  Lynne  is  seen  in  her  dorm  room  prior  to  her  final  exam  at  1:00  PM.  She  does  not  want  to  

talk  about  the  exam  .  She  is  distracted  and  looking  for  her  favorite  

pen.  

12:50  PM  Lynne  is  sNll  in  her  dorm  room.  

12:55  PM  Lynne  is  no  long  in  her  

dorm  room.  

1:00  PM  Lynne  does  not  show  up  to  

her  final  exam.  2:15  PM  

Lynne  is  seen  standing  on  Court  Street  across  from  the  Bus  Stop  and  the  local  health  food  store.  This  is  the  last  Nme  

she  is  ever  seen.

Lynne  is  missing  

•  Lynne  is  last  seen  on  12-­‐10-­‐1971  •  Her  roommate  leaves  in  the  early  morning  of  12-­‐11-­‐1971  and  has  no  idea  that  Lynne  is  missing  

•  Fellow  students  don’t  noNce  she  is  missing  unNl  several  days  later  

•  A  report  is  made  to  the  Middlebury  Police  on  12-­‐16-­‐1971

Lynne  is  missing  

•  Lynne’s  parents  decide  to  keep  her  missing  status  quiet  and  request  the  police  do  the  same  

•  Lynne’s  disappearance  it  made  public  on  01-­‐24-­‐1972  in  an  arNcle  in  the  Burlington  Free  Press  and  on  01-­‐27-­‐1972  in  an  arNcle  in  the  Addison  Independent

Lynne  is  missing  

•  Many  reports  of  sighNng  of  Lynne  are  received  by  the  police  

•  They  are  invesNgated  by  the  police  and  Lynne’s  father,  but  none  are  determined  to  be  true  sighNngs

1992  -­‐  2012  

•  Lynne  Schulze  case  is  re-­‐opened  in  1992.  •  Over  the  years  it  is  invesNgated  by  various  Middlebury  Police  Department  officers  assigned  to  the  InvesNgaNons  Unit.  

•  MulNple  leads  are  received  and  invesNgated  without  any  definiNve  answers  as  to  what  happened  to  Lynne  Schulze.

Robert  Durst  

•  In  July  2012  the  Middlebury  Police  Department  received  a  Np  from  a  ciNzen.  

•  We  were  told  that  Robert  Durst  owned  and  operated  the  health  food  store  All  Good  Things  in  Middlebury  at  the  same  Nme  that  Lynne  went  missing.  

•  The  Np  came  from  a  person  with  no  firsthand  knowledge  of  a  connecNon  between  Robert  Durst  and  Lynne  Schulze.

Robert  and  Kathy  

•  Robert  came  to  Vermont  in  1971  and  Kathy  joined  him  someNme  later

All  Good  Things    •  All  Good  Things  was  located  at  15  Court  Street  in  Middlebury  at  the  Nme.  

•  All  Good  Things  is  on  the  north  side  of  the  first  floor  

•  Bus  StaNon  is  on  the  south  side  of  the  first  floor  

•  There  were  several  rented  apartments  in  the  building

•  Owned  by  Robert  Durst  in  1971  and  1972  •  Located  at  15  Court  Street  in  Middlebury  •  Lynne  shopped  at  the  store  on  the  last  day  that  she  was  seen.

Current  status  

•  The  Middlebury  Police  Department  is  conNnuing  to  invesNgate  the  connecNon  between  Lynne  Schulze  and  Robert  Durst  and  will  work  with  outside  agencies  as  needed.    

•  We  will  conNnue  to  invesNgate  all  leads  in  this  case  unNl  Lynne  can  be  found  and  resoluNon  can  be  given  to  her  family.  

•  We  ask  that  you  respect  her  family  at  this  Nme  and  allow  them  the  privacy  that  they  deserve.
