MANU University pays tribute to Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Published on May 1 2019 | Updated on May 1 2019 Opposing attempts to confine the legacy of Dr. Baba Saheb Bheem Rao Ambedkar, to particular communities, speakers at a Panel discussion held at Maulana azad National Urdu University have paid glowing tributes to the founding father of Indian Constitution. MANUU’s Al Beruni Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy and Department of Political Science have organised the discussion yesterday as part of 128th birth anniversary celebration of Dr. B R Ambedkar at Saiyid Hamid Library Auditorium. Panel discussion on “Relevance of Ambedkar in Contemporary Times” started with floral tributes to Dr. B R Ambedkar. Mr. A Murali, IAS, Director General, Telangana State Archives, Hyderabad speaking as Chief Guest lamented the fact that the legacy of a scholar of Dr. Ambekar’s stature with exemplary contribution in ushering the democratic destiny of India is confined to some specific social groups,which totally wrong. Prof. Ayub Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor Presided over the Discussion. Mr. A Murali also spoke about the relevance of Ambedkar’s ideology in the contemporary India. The cure for the evils like casteism,corruption and malfunctioning of the education system lies in his ideology only, he suggested. Prof. Sudha Rani, Director, Centre for staff Training and Development, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad was guest of honour. She also complained about not understanding the Ambedkar’s ideology. Dr. Ambedkar has ensured the democratic future of the the country, yet his birth anniversary is celebrated by only Dalits, why? She questioned. She also explained the general issues faced by different social groups and how certain communities and woman are not allowed in the forefront or in to the mainstream. Ambedkar has propounded many solutions for these problems but unfortunately we are not following them . Prof. Ayub Khan in his presidential remarks agreed to the observation that Dr Ambedkar’s legacy should not be restricted to any particular community or religion. He framed constitution for all which is still very much relevant. He appreciated the centre for organizing the programme Dr. G. V. Ratanakar, Department of Hindi . Ms. T. Arundhatihi, Assistant Professor, department of CS&IT, Dr. B. Kotaiah, General Secretary, MANUUTA, Prof. Siddiqui Mohammed Mahmood, Dr. A. Nageswara, Dr. Kareem, Dr. Mohasina Anjum, Dr. Junaid Zakir, Dr. Janaid Ghorsi and others also spoke. Earlier, Dr. Afroz Alam, Director, ACSSEIP speaking about the importance of the theme opined that Ambedkar was not just a person but he was an ideology and practice, he also spoke about the need of Ambedkar for all excluded group in the contemporary times. Dr. K. M. Ziyauddin, Assistant Professor, ACSSEIP, moderated the programme and welcomed the guests and participants. Mr. Muzaffar Hussain, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, proposed Vote of thanks. A large number of members Teachers,officials, staff members and students from MANUU and outside attended.

MANU University Extends last date for online submission of application forms Published on May 1 2019 | Updated on May 1 2019

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has extended the last date for online submission of application forms for entrance based regular courses from 1st May, 2019 to 10th May, 2019. According to Dr. M. Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, last date has been extended in view of large representations received from different stake holders across the country. The scheduled dates of entrance tests remains unchanged. Now, process of filling up of online applications for Admissions into all entrance based courses such as MBA; M.Tech(CS); MCA; B.Tech.; M.Ed.; B.Ed.; D.El.Ed. and Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering (Civil; Computer Science ; Electronics & Communication, Information Technology; Mechanical; Electrical & Electronics; Automobile and Apparel ) and all Ph.D. courses will continue till 10th May, 2019. Meanwhile, online applications for merit based UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate courses can be filled in upto 30th June, 2019. Bridge courses are also available for Madrassa pass outs. Online submission of application forms for entrance based regular courses of Maulana Azad National Urdu University will end tomorrow i.e. 1st May. However, submission of application for merit based courses will continue till 30th June, 2019. The e-prospectus and online application forms are available on the University website www.manuu.ac.in. According to Dr. M. Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, submission of application form for entrance based courses such as MBA; M.Tech(CS); MCA; B.Tech.; M.Ed.; B.Ed.; D.El.Ed., Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering (Civil; Computer Science ; Electronics & Communication, Information Technology; Mechanical; Electrical & Electronics; Automobile and Apparel ) and all Ph.D. courses will end on 1st May, 2019. The Ph.D. is being offered in Urdu, English, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, Translation Studies; Women Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work, Islamic Studies, History, Economics, Sociology; Education; Journalism & Mass Communication; Management, Commerce, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science & SEIP. University is also offering admissions in various UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate courses. Bridge courses are also open for admissions for Madrassa pass outs. The admissions are available at Hyderabad, Lucknow and Srinagar campuses beside 8 Colleges of Teacher Education and 5 Polytechnic Colleges.
