On February 2, 2012 the South Shelby Chamber of Commerce luncheon held its monthly membership luncheon. Donna Smelcer, President of the chamber welcomed everyone and board member Kevin Morris gave our invocation and introduced Dr. C. Dale Elliott our keynote speaker. Dr. C. Dale Elliott is a board certifi ed internal medicine and cardiovascular disease physician who practices at Shelby Baptist Medical Center since the start of their program.

Chuck and Carla Watkins of Newleaf Designs shared with the chamber membership the newly designed Shelby County Museum Trail that will feature a

path and listing of local museums full of facts and knowledge waiting for your explorations.

We featured our newest members as they displayed their goods and services at the expo prior to the luncheon. These businesses were Make You New, Vincent Baptist Church, Harpersville Medical Clinic/Heart Walk, America’s First Federal Credit Union, Shelby County’s Best BBQ Cook Off, Wilson Trainer ship/Servpro, Love Struck Photography, Alliance Accounting, and H&R Block of Columbiana.

We were excited to announce our newest members in addition to the expo

booths being Chelsea Comprehensive Dental, Jim Martin Construction, Southern Care Hospice, Highland Cleaners, Alabama Wildlife Center, and Trinity Medical Clinics at Chelsea. A huge thanks went out to our RSVP Volunteers and Chamber Ambassadors for helping at this event.
