Dear Family,This Monday evening all priests and religious orders of the Diocese

will gather with Bishop Conlon for the Chrism Mass at The Cathedral

of St. Raymond. During Mass each parish will receive the holy oils

that are used for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and

Healing of the Sick throughout the coming year.

Today we begin the journey of Holy Week. We will celebrate Holy Thursday with

the Last Supper Mass at 7pm. During this Mass, I will wash the feet of several

parishioners in memory of what Jesus did to the Apostles reminding all of us to

serve and not to be served. On Good Friday, we will have Stations of the Cross at

12:30pm and an evening service to Celebrate the Lords Passion at 7pm. We will

read the Passion, have Communion and all are invited to reverence the Cross.

Finally on Holy Saturday, we will begin at noon with a prayer service and the

blessings of Easter foods and baskets cumulating with the Easter Vigil Mass at

7:30pm in the church. During this Mass we welcome candidates to the sacra-

ments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion. Please keep in your

prayers our RCIA Candidates: John Enarson, Jim Ellis Jr., Leon Griffin, MariaGriffin, Leon Griffin Jr., and Zoe Griffin. I invite all parishioners to participate in

the special events this Holy Week. If you are out of town this Easter, I and our

entire staff wish you an early Happy Easter! God bless you.
